Hi Doug, long time, no see. Hope you are well.

From the looks of Facebook there were a few hunters out chasing hounds up your way the last few nights.

No hunting for me either,,,I want too,but we've had 13 inches of snow recently and I can't get thru the snow with my legs,,hard enough on bare land,,,I have severe nerve damage in both legs from feet to my hips and walk with a cane, but if I could talk my brother into going,,,I'd sure tag along and sit at the truck and listen to the dogs,,,lol

I am not a member of HTDA, but I am 100% in favor of opening our season up longer. Something closer to the Arkansas season would be ideal.

Remember, if it was not for the HTDA, your running season would be shut down now and you would have two weeks more shutdown in October.

I urge everyone to attend the 2015 HTDA Banquet on February 14th. For the price of a Nite Hunt entry fee you can attend the banquet and become an HTDA member for 2015.

If you cannot attend the banquet, you can still join for 2015!

I am going to Kentucky tonight to knock one out on my pup since I cannot in Indiana.

In addition, I plan to buy a Kentucky license so I don't have to lay up for a little over two weeks before kill season comes in since it comes in October 1 in Kentucky.

Really???

Check out this link. Then read the last line of the "Dog Running" section. It reads "It is legal to chase foxes and coyotes with dogs year-round with a hunting license."

http://www.eregulations.com/indiana...earers-hunting/

If I understand this correctly, the fox and coyote hunters can run their dogs 365 days a year but coon hunters cannot??

Anyone else have a better interpretation??

Maybe we can all get together and discuss these important issues Saturday night?

I'm not for sure but this might be illegal. Indiana will not allow any out of state hunters to hunt coon if there season is not in. I think most states repay Indiana with the same benefits. So I'm not sure about Kentucky but my guess is you can't hunt there unless a Indiana kill season is in. If someone knows for sure please post.
