Ransom's Bam Question

I bought a young female that is a daughter to 'BAM"...She is a show champion. When I hunt her she has yet to open on track. I find her with the garmin on a tree. She will bark tree when I get to her with coaxing. Is this a trait in that line to be stone cold silent on track ? Her mother is RUSSEL'S MILKY WAY BLOSSOM.

Jerry Benson owns the female to your pup. His user name is pegjerben. I owned Ransoms Bam he just recently passed away with a twisted stomach. In my experience with the Bam Bam line they are open trailers. With loud bawl mouths. I have videos of Ransoms Bam from strike to tree. They was a guy in Wisconsin that I heard tried to buy that whole litter to run on bear. I heard that he was unable to buy three of them. Check out Ransoms Bam's thread page. Boo (Blossom, the dam to your pup) has a big male mouth and is an open trailer. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the other dogs in her pedigree so can't say if this is a trait or not. I do know that most of those females were hunted very little if at all before they went to Wisconsin, so she might just need a little more experience. I know that the two males still here in Indiana are doing well in the woods and can't be bought.

Thanks guys for your time and reply... i do believe i have one from the litter that came to Wisconsin, she does have a big male mouth and very pretty to look at. I am glad the line are open trailers and plan on giving her the time needed to prove herself...thanks again.

same goes for us. what is the name of your female? if it is the one I am thinking of, I can put you in contact with the previous owner and they can tell you what she was doing in the woods. I know one of them had been hunted some at a young age

I will surely keep you fellas up to date on her progression...on her title papers she is called '' SICKMAN'S PEANUTS ''. She hates coon, shot a few out to her and she ran into a big boar caught in a trap, she had it stretched in less then 3 minutes, the time it took me to get to her. Won't be shooting any more to her til she starts to tree without coaxing. I could live with tight track dogs but gotta bark tree. Thank you guys.

I have been workin' her on the bench, but that's about it right know. She looks and does well up there, but still has a short attention span. Getting better though. Planning on huntin' her soon, coon are out but still 3 feet of snow in the woods. Lots of hungry bear and deer in the standing corn too. Won't be long and I am anxious. Thanks Junior, I'll keep ya posted.

Well the frogs are out in N.W. Wisconsin... I took Peanut out with a friend of mine that has a very good bluetick, they were out and the bluetick opened and before she finished her bark Peanut opened. She drove that track for a hundred yards or so and I believe she had first tree because she shut up for two minutes until the blue dog located. When the blue dog located Peanut came unglued on the tree. I let them tree for 5 minutes and went in and they had the coon. The only thing I saw that I don't care for is she runs the tree and only wants to do it where the coon went up...where the other dogs want to tree. All in all I am really liking her. When hunting alone she checks in every 10 mins. or so and with others she stays gone. She opens good now and trees hard. Great mouth and easy to handle. Would like a bawl on track instead of a chop, but it's o.k. She is coming along and hopefully will be ready for some hunts soon. Dan.

I do have some of her treeing the other night but didn't turn out too good, she's nuts on the tree and has not settled in yet to have manners while treeing. Should do a video! But as soon as I get some that will do her justice I will send them to you. Thank you very much !
