we need every member we can get, but we as members need to ask for the revocation of the Senator from W.V., Joe Manchin. He is a long time NRA member, but has openly stated that evrything should be on the table in dealing with the shooting in Conn. Any member who would support talk about gun bans should not be a member. Add to that list, Sen Chuck Grassley of Iowa. Their support of talk with obama on his agenda to ban guns is disturbing. It seems to me they would accept giving away your rights easily to look big and good in front of an electorate. I incerely hope that the NRA will deal with them, and soon their state's citizen's do too.

This Gun Control Backing was reported by Julie Pace of the Assoicated Press in the Savannah Morning News on Tuesday December 18, 2012.

WAKE UP PEOPLE. it is not the guns that kill, its the hands of the criminals who use them that kill. Arm yourselves and these cowards will disappear. They are scared to death of guns, and citizens who are armed and more important, willing to use them to protect ourselves. Do not bow down to the powers that would have your guns melted down. Your right to carry has been bought and paid for by our ancestors in BLOOD! Demand that the laws of justice be enfforced, and no gun bans will be needed. FACT: the most liberal concealed carry states have the lowest crime rates. GO FIGURE!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE. obama will never sleep or stop his attack, and will use any means necessary to destroy your second amendement rights. JOIN THE FIGHT OR LOOSE YOUR RIGHT!!!!!!!! It is simple as that, and its your choice, which by the way is another right that was bought and paid for with a gun.

PS: For the record, i have reported the two above mention tuhe NRA as of 1030 hours this date. Call them and do the same. We surely do not need traitors in our ranks.

Folks, I know its not easy to scrape up some extra money this time of year with Christmas and all. But we have to if we want to keep our firearms.

When you join the NRA, not only are you helping to save our 2nd amendment right, you will also get a years subscription to either American Rifleman or American Hunter magazines, plus there may a free shooters cap, I'm not sure. So for $35 its a great value, and helping fight the gun grabbers as well.

We all need to step up to plate and at least help those that are fighting to preserve our guns rights. Once it's gone, theres no going back.

the nra has been quiet on this issue as of late to show some respect to the familys that lost loved ones . they are haveing a news confrence in a couple of days . my membership lasped but i will re-do and join up for the next battle . olie the nra has done nothing but good for the 2nd amendment since i was a child . and remember the 2nd amendment is not about hunting it is about the right of an american citizen to protect him or her self from our government as well as others .

In 1977 I would get a flyer from the NRA about every other month and one day I got one & they were advertising a very nice NRA cap so I sent in my dues and membership and after several weeks of waiting and several letters and still no cap,membership card or any word, the NRA has a very dim view with me, as for me I can't help to feel the hurt of the tragic events that has just unfolded but gun owners are not to blame, GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE WITH GUNS.
Now the government is and has been trying for a long time to take our 2nd amendment god given right away from us, and will succeed if the american people don't stand together, in europe private citizens can't own guns, and if the government get it's way we woun't either, the american people has allways been devided over things that usually don't mean much to the magority,but this is a new twist to an old fight. I'm not just giveing mine up.
YOU DON'T PISS DOWN MY BACK AND TELL ME IT'S RAININ.
I love this country as much as any of you do but you don't have to hit me in the face with a wet mop to wake me up.
That's all I have to say bout that.

I used to be a member for several years, but I found out they were a bunch of liars and they lean to one side in Party Affiliation ..........Never again,.....

No Knox I would not consider them a union. They're a membership organization, like all others, that does have their political views. Their views are much more in line with the sportsman than some others. In this case, they are more of an American Watchdog, standing up to big brother, in support of your rights. Yes, like it or not, we'll continue to fight for your right to own and carry a firearm.

Now a question for you? If there wasn't a membership strong NRA, do you think there would even be a second amendment today, with the current adminstration having had 4 years to try and wreck it? Yes, they have 4 more years to do the same now, and they will start in force come March 2013 with the UN deal. Thank the good lord above, our citizens still support an NRA, and this test against the 2nd, will be defeated too. There is strength in numbers.

If the politicians would just stop and think for a minute, they would see that gun bans won't solve the issue. I'm against the bans and fully support the 2nd amendment. But the people who commit crimes with guns are criminals. And criminals don't observe the laws so what good would a gun ban be other than keeping the honest citizen from being able to protect themselves and enjoy shooting sports

i keep listening to them idiots on tv talking and trying to convence the people what we do and do not need [ gun wise ] for hunting . THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT ABOUT HUNTING WITH GUNS . IT IS ABOUT AN AMERICAN CITIZENS RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS AGAINST ANYONE THAT WOULD ATTEMPT TO TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM UP TO AND INCLUDING OUR OWN GOVERNMENT . join and help the fight today .
