Tennessee Hunters, Right to hunt is on the ballot this time.

There is a constitutional ammendment on the ballot this time to preserve the right to hunt and fish as a constitutional right in the state of Tennessee.

I urge everyone to vote for this right.

It will help keep the liberal democrats at bay a little while anyway as they continue to try and take our right to hunt/fish away.

Good luck and keep us posted on it. I have always thought that this should be in law somewhere. It would be nice if it was a federal law. May never happen but if every state put it in their consitutions it would help.

I hope you guys in Tenn. vote this in. I don`t want to get too far off topic
on your post, but we have to take our country back from these liberal
idiots. The sad truth is, the liberals only make up about 23% of the population, but they get all the air and press time from the media. You got those Hollywood and musician, head-in-the-sand liberals who actually think Bambi really lost his mother. Think about it, what do we really have
in common with Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Holder, etc. etc. Come Nov. 2 don`t
sit at home!!

I voted Tuesday

Voters are pouring in to our County Clerk's office for early voting. There is a whole lot of us wanting to "Vote the bums out."
But we need to also get rid of HSUS & PETA

Good luck making this important change on your state's constitution. I checked and the right to hunt is mentioned twice in my state's constitution.

Ok it is my understanding that if someone votes in the election but does not vote at all on this then it is actually counted as a NO vote.

So if you vote and you like to hunt/fish be sure and vote YES because being indifferent in this case means you actually voted NO by not voting on it.

That is according to the TWRA people that were on the radio talking about this initiative to make HUNTING AND FISHING a right to the citizens of Tennessee.

So go vote for this guys.

OK did my duty today.

Yes it's on the ballot.

Now all Tennessee hunters and fishermen get out there and vote for us to have this right in the constitution.

It clearly doesn't infringe on private property rights, it just garentees the right to hunt and fish within legal rules in the Constitution of Tennessee.

This is a good thing that will help stem the tide of the liberal anti hunting democrats.

I think there are 4 states overall that are doing this so if you live in either of the 4 please get out and vote so as hunters and fishers we can keep these rights.

Got out and voted yes Friday..

Lee, it didn't appear to be too confusing to me but since it was written in lawyer speak I read it 4-5 times just to be sure LOL.

Basically it garentees the right to legally hunt and fish in the state of Tennessee, but makes the statement that it doesn't change private property and trespassing laws.

It then goes on to define non votes etc and I think this is where the TWRA agent got that a non vote was counted as a NO vote.

So if you want the right garenteed then vote YES, don't just not vote and think you didn't do any harm. If you don't choose to vote on this manner this is the same as voting NO.

This is the TWRA site, they have an actual sample ballot from Anderson County.

They also have the actual bill as it is written for the legislature.

Pretty good site for info.

Now get out there and vote YES.
