Wapakoneta all breed confirmation show ( Congrats to my wife & friends)

First i'd like to say that i'm not on here much anymore. Seems like all i do is work & hunt. Yes, i was one of the many that was laid off, but i was fortunate to find work quickly. And with the change, also came a new scedule. I work 4 10's, every Friday and Saturday evening. So it has put a huge damper on attending many events.I have to work first, every thing else comes second after family. This is the first year in forever that we've not been at Walker Days. I'd like to Congratulate all the winners.
Anyways, my wife (Cindy) decided to head over to the All breed confirmation show and give it a shot. Now cindy is a very private person, and really does'nt care much for the publicity. She'd rather be working or conditioning her hounds. So this may get me in trouble. But, i'll take my chances. She supports my hunting, and don't say a word even when i'm hunting most every night. She heading over for the weekend, had a great time and did a bunch of winning.
She finished her pride and joy boys ( her beagle Jake & of course her boy Logan )to Confirmation champion's quickly. She also got some wins with a pup out of Logan x Ghost. He's only 8 months old and now has 90 pts ( i think ) already, towards his first title.
Also Logans littermates did some winning as well. Congrats to Bonnie Casner & Teri Poziomke on those wins. Another one of those pups out of Logan & Ghost also had a group first. ( Baby) owned by Teri accomplished this task. Not bad, at such a young age.We have very high hopes for this litter, and feel that they will leave their mark and do well in the showring as well as the woods.
Congrats & keep it up.

Ray Webb

Ray & Cindy,

You guys are great people and deserve the best! I was so sorry I missed you at the GA but as you knew, I was struggling. With that behind me now, I will not miss it again.
Heads up! This wonderful country we live in will get straightened out.
Good luck to you both. You are great people that have helped some folks out that no one will ever know about......
That's what its all about! Taking care of each other.......

Cindy - Give me a call when your down this way next time!

Where do you get a list of the conformation shows. I have searched a hundred times on here and can never seem to pinpoint them. I can find every other type of shows, just not conf.

Ray, Jake is one handsome boy and Cindy did a fine job of handling him. Congrats on her wins with jr. Baby is truely a pleasure to show and loved the judges. She has the traits of her grandparents Harry & Tal & her great granddam Sheza Lady. Thank you for her and everything. Congrats to Bonnie with Alex

~From UKC main page click on DOG EVENTS
~in the drop down select: FIND A EVENT UPCOMING EVENTS
~In the CHOOSE TYPE drop down select CONFORMATION
~you then will get the options to SEARCH BY dropdowns (MONTH/STATE/OLD)

I always choose STATE, then you'll get the list. Select OHIO.

It will list all/any events that are "licensed" at that time. The trick is to keep checking back. Clubs are licensed daily.

This link will explain how to read a conformation event listing:
http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/...s/DEUCEGlossary

Once you attend a conformation event, you'll be ready to go to another one. But be prepared to toss out the bench and run a few laps around the ring in a more professional manner. Also, if you are confused or have questions ANY ONE attending will lend a kind word of encouragement or even offer to help!

Best of luck!

I hear ya, how's it going up in Ct.? You know you are welcome here to hunt anytime. I hope to be able to get away to the zones myself. We have a couple in, Thank's to a friend being able to handle. I've often wondered how people can hit the road most any weekend. Heck man, i for one am very Thankful & feel very blessed to be working in this econonomy. Hope to see you in Ohio in September.

Here's another pic of yet another pup from that litter. "pr" Gunpowder & Lead - aka (LG) is my project. She was around 6 and a half months old ( if my memory serves me right in this picture.)

A great time was had by all....

We had a great time in Wapak, Oh, Cindy, Ray, Teri, Teri's momma, Elsie, and I, along with all our dogs....what a busy 3 days it was. Teri and I were able to put 3 Ch wins on both our dogs, litter mates, CCh GRCh 'PR' Cherokee's Uncommon Valor, Alex and CCh GRCh 'PR' Cherokee's Purple Reign, Reigna. They also had some nice Scent hound group placements. The Logan (Alex, Reigna's litter mate) daughter, Baby, owned by Teri, had a great win and at such a tender age...she won Winners bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed and went on to the Scent hound group.
The dogs all did so well, it makes us all really proud to see our breeding programs going in the right direction.
The folks that put on the Wapak shows did a great job. Everything ran smoothly and the weather was great.
We can't wait till next year!
