Dog straight line hunting
When you cut her she hunts pretty much a straight line and bust thru the country cut her in a cast last night and within 2 minutes she was 800 yard any advice on what to do to get her to hunt the area out she is dropped in
Is she getting treed? If so she should do some winning most won't go that far all night. JMO I would not do anything this is the type I like. Most like that are independent also.

Once a dog /or man creates this type of behavier trying to correct it now! you would not like the results trying to break her from this habit!! use shock color and get her tone broke! but you still have the prob in a hunt!! like they said! leave her alone if you plan on just using her in a hunt!!! Dang down south I thout that's what they all want!!! deepandlonely! sell her to Dawg!!

You can fix It if you want. I know if I wasn't happy with the way a dog hunted I'd fix it not leave it just because others like em that way. It's your dog you feeds it. Just sayin miss a lot of coon with a dog that straightlines.
So how you gonna fix it? I dont believe it can be fixed.

Ecollar. I've fixed a couple. You will set them back and maybe cause a few other issues but they can be fixed to. Imo I'd rather have a dog that hunts side to side hard and fast as opposed to straightlining. Or at least look before dropping in deep first. A dead loner is fine with me but one that spends more time try in to be alone and not huntin is a waste of time. They could be tree in coon while they are runnin from dogs.
I've changed a few sq dogs with this issue without an E-collar. They changed to a much more manageable hunt style that was more suited to what I was looking for, and the number of unnecessarily deep trees was drastically reduced. To say completely fixed would be untruthful. It's still there in the wrong situation.
Coon hunting I wouldn't know how to do it other than an e-collar, and depending on the dog you might not like the end result.
Please let me have her

If it's bred in her, you can't fix her. You might ruin her if you try. If you are going to comp hunt her, leave her alone, she is what you'll want. If you are going to pleasure hunt her and don't like that style, sale or trade for one that suits your liken.
You won't have any trouble at all finding a buyer.

She's not for sale I'm hunting her at Walker days in 2 weeks I've always hunted a dog that likes to pack up not use to her she's a loner and isn't afraid of the dark where I live the coons are thin I'll she how she is up in Auburn In where the coons are thicker
Dog with a big moter can find a track faster. Exspecially in thin coon. if she's accurate she should be a winner. You will have a hard time winning consistently with one that packs. If you like to compitition hunt and win I wouldn't do anything. But it's a must if your alone every drop you must have dog power.
