Aggravated!!!

Just wanted to vent a little!! I'm so tired of buying hounds that's supposed to be doing this and that and after talking with the owner and seeing pictures "that's probably 6 months old" then buying the dog paying a hauler getting it home and it's in such poor shape from malnutrition, worms and just plain unhealthy! Ya can't even hunt the dog for 6 months because you have to fix their f-ups!! It's just put a bad taste in my mouth!! If you can't be honest and take care of your animal you shouldn't even have them!!!! GRRRR!! People these days!!! No sence what so ever!!!

Sounds like your own fault, go hunt with the dog before paying money

??

My own fault that people can't take care of their dogs?? I think it's rediclious if you have hounds and want to blow them up just to make a buck!! And if ya can't afford to feed them and keep them healthy ya don't deserve to have them!! Jmo!

Not your fault that they didn't take proper care of their dog, but you bought it unseen

I'm not talking about buying a dog that's supposed to be finished! I'm talking about health! Sending ya pics of the dog that's older and not even what the dog looks like! Looks good in the pic then when ya get it...it's a bag of bones!

i have seen both sides of this , yes anyone should never buy a dog or anything else without trying it and seeing in person before the money changes hands , a lot of people find a dog or something they want to buy and they do not have the time or it is to far away to go and try or look at in person , the buyer knows they are crooks out there and they are taking a chance site unseen when they buy something because a crook will tell you and show you anything to sale you something , most of the time a dog jockey will show you a picture of a dog before he got it that is why it still looks good and before they half starved it to death and most of them go through so many dogs they can not keep up with what got wormed , shots , or even what dog is the best one they have , all these crooks should be took out and beat with a rubber hose all though i doubt that would help their way of thinking and the best thing anyone can do is check out and make sure you know who you are dealing with and if anyone else has ever had any problems with them and its always best to do all transactions in person if at all possible ..

If you spend a decent amount of time in the forums and participate, it will at least help get you started in the right direction. I have found that most of the guys that participate in these forums have a pretty good reputation.

I have found the opposite to be true in the classifieds. Not that everyone is, but it seems like there are certain jockeys, that are consistently buying and selling in the forums. These guys I avoid like a plague. The breeders with a good reputation aren't posting more then a couple times a year due to the fact they have a good reputation, if they need to list dogs, because they have people consistently asking them for dogs.

I've bought several things from this site and never got a bad deal. I bought a dog from a guy. I told him to get a heartworm test and that if it was heartworm free, I'd pay the cost of the test. Well it was free of heart worms but not of hookworms. I paid $250 for the dog off the chain and took it home. It started pooping blood and mucus. Cost me $350 to get it fixed. It turned out to be a good dog for $600.00. I lost it a month later to the wilderness. Cut it loose and never saw it again. But that was on me. I don't buy from anyone that has only a few posts and I ask them for someone to vouch for them.

There are some honest coon hunters out there that take good care of their dogs and will tell you the truth about them. Guys that will start pups every year, call a cull a cull, and sell some nice ones. When you find that coon hunter keep his number and buy dogs from him from now on. They are out there, but not real common.
