Passing of a great: GRNTCH GRCH Crow and Grants Cutter

I just received word Cutter has passed this morning, he has reproduced many fine hounds in his life time. He spent his final years in Benton, TN, Mr Reid was nice enough to let him head a little further south to help everyone breed to him.

Sorry to hear about Cutter's passing.

It seems like yesterday when Cutter first arrived on the scene here in Oklahoma. Mike Grant was tough to beat when Cutter was on the end of his leash and Bill Crow was a class act.

I am glad Cutter was able to put his footprint on the Walker breed. He will be missed.

Cutter

I really do hate to hear that.....He could have covered several more females in his last years if Allen hadn't been so hard to get in touch with.

Absolutely no heartburn with Cutter or Doug Reid...a fine reproducer and a fine fellow!

I think his brother Rube just passed a few days ago....Ironic.

Hopefully he will one day break into the top reproduces list with what he has on the ground and seamen.

Cutter

Was an awesome hound, owned one off of him and always wanted another. I hope plenty of Semen was collected so that his traits can be carried on.

Sorry to hear this! Cutter and his littermates have put their mark on the walker breed and have rightfully represented what may be the most impressive and successful cross in it's history.

I have enjoyed hunting hounds that trace their ancestry back to harry and abby or harry and lady. They suit me well.

Wasn't Cutter off the first cross of Abby and Harry?

Posted by POTOMAC on 11-08-2013 02:30 AM:

Cutter was without a doubt the best reproducer out of Harry x abbey cross putting pups with the rite traits on the ground gr nt riverview quick suddenly passed this summer and it was a blow I don't want to have to relive!! Quick was a once in a lifetime hound and I still have his sitter and no where a couple brothers are that are top hounds to keep it going!!!cutter was tops and wil be missed !!!

Is honey creek harry a litermate to cutter

Posted by Ryan J on 11-08-2013 02:45 PM:

I believe Cutter was off the first cross and isn't Harry Jr and a few more off the second. I believe the second cross had more studs then the first.
