Anyone watching this new show Gold Rush?

I thought I'd be interested in this show, but so far all I can say is "What a freakin' joke!?!" Their fearless leader come off like a real dumb@$$. I realize everything about him is most likely a 100% BS act for the show, but looks like Discovery Channel could've found some guy out there who wouldn't come off like a bumbling idiot, or at least one that was as tough as he thought he was. I'm gonna continue watching this season in hopes that the wormy machinest guy he keeps picking on & telling to shut up, lays the head of a shovel across the fat, blow-hard's mouth!

Watching this show its not surprise these people are struggling. They don't get in a hurry to do anything and are idiots for the most part. They have been 3 weeks setting up something that should take a week tops. They do a lot of talking about all the work they have to do and very little actual work.

All I know is being out of work & broke where those goofballs are from is alot different than it is in Alabama! I wonder what my banker would tell me if I was laid off, broke, & walked into his office asking to borrow the $250,000+ I figure it cost them, to go mine for gold! They might actually get their junk set-up & actually "find" gold before he got done laughing in my face. Lol

Yeah all that deep water crossing & drama getting to the site, yet when their mechanic got sick they hopped in the pick-up truck to take him to the Dr.

Also, in the 1st show did u guys notice the part where the mechanic was talking about his back injury, & how he's had to have morphine to make it bearable for a long time? I wondered when I heard that how someone who not only needed morphine for pain, but if he'd been taking it that long he's without a doubt addicted to it, & how he was gonna make it out in the wilderness away from a pharmacy & refills? Now this week he comes down "sick" but they don't give details about it... Hmm!

Of course, I'm sure they're about as deep in the wilderness as bear grylss gets on "Man vs Wild,"... maybe less than an hour or two from Wal-mart & Micky-D's! lol

LOL after reading about American Pickers on here ,this show is probably faked too,,,by the way Mr Russ did you ever do any prospecting for gold down in your neck of the woods ???betcha you can find some ,,,ty Chuck West

Its always the same with these reality shows....The first one is interesting, then they just get progressivly worse.

They are all so fake it isnt even funny.

Lol. Funny u ask. My cousin gets into all kinda weird hobbies, & panning was one of them. Other than a couple evenings of that, I've decided I'd make my fortune in coonhunting. So far, my coonhunting's doing better than his prospecting, & that oughta be telling enough.

This yay-hoo Todd on the show, has brought an AR-15 to fend off a "frickin" bear attack... What a "frickin" genius! I really hope they interview the salty, old prospector across from them. He don't look like a BS-artist.

I think they advertise this show as, "The most watched show on cable.", because no one is actually watching it. They are just trying to stop the train wreck from flopping. I stopped watching after the second episode. Sounded like a bunch of cry baby whinners to me.

It is what it is..A Bunch of guys that have No clue on what there doing starting out...Learning as they go...The old man on the show is a joke...The shows kinda slow but is entertaining....Its better than a lot of shows on TV....
