If they would not have gave me the papers at the time of sell I would have told them to keep the pup and find another buyer for it.Instead of trying to get them later.

File it and see what happens. Then if that isn't working get a lawyer and see him come to Iowa to go to court. lolol

Just wondering who would you file a complaint with? I don't think the kennel club is going to get involved..

I bought a pup from a man for $1500 he had not registered the litter when i had my pup shipped to me at 8 weeks old..It was my fault for getting the pup but I had had it paid for 3 months before it was born...That was 3 years ago and I haven't seen my papers yet.. I called ukc at the time and they told me I was basically just out of my money that they wouldnt get involved in a deal that was not made by th KC.. I'm glad they are willing to help you.. I'm over it now and I wont make that mistake again.. Good luck I hope you don't get stuck like I did..

Do you know if the papers have ever been issued. Years ago I had a litter by another guys stud and when I tried to register the litter I got a letter from UKC saying his number was frozen over issues of money owed by the stud owner and no pups could registered by him until it was up to date so there I set with pups and no papers. I looked into it and paid it myself to get the pups registered. Sometimes stuff happens and there's more to it . Bad deal either way.

Looks like UKC has changed their policy from years ago on not receiving pups - you can file a complaint.

2003 UKC's Responce on not receiving papers (which what I was told was my only options back them when I dealt with same thing):

2009 UKC's Responce on not receiving papers:

they are advertised on 2 sites as ukc and pkc. I have the pkc papers, got them when I picked up the dog. The ukc papers were at the owners house in a different state at the time I picked him up
