Took our dog out hunting tonight and took about 10 minutes to get to her at the tree. I thought she wasn't gonna make it back home. Didn't even turn out til 11PM. And she is in shape. Your right - it's just too darn hot!

I had a post similar to this one on here a couple days ago and had a couple guys on here talking about how they would shoot their dogs if they ever got overheated and wouldn't keep hunting. HUH? And then when I called them idiots for saying something so stupid the thread got deleted (hope me saying that doesn't get your deleted).

But, yeah the heat stinks, but the dogs got it better than me, all they got to do is lay around all day and get out a little in the coolest part of the night. Me, on the other hand, got to go sweat my you know what off out in it all day! Be careful out there!

Too Hot

Its supposed to be in the mid 90's here in SW Michigan for the next couple days. That coupled with the very high humidity we have thanks to Lake Michigan (10 miles away) makes it impossible for me to hunt till it cools down. Wanted to go last night, but it was still 83 degrees at 1130.
I wont do that to my dog. If its too hot for me, its too hot for them, they're doing all the work.

Weatherman calling for a cool down over the weekend here. Talking about highs in the upper 80s lower 90s. Lows at night in the 60s. Now that's more like it!

The funny thing is, it won't be long til we're all complaining about how cold it is...LOL!

HOT HOT HOT!!!

High today was 104 here. Over night lows in the mid 80's with no break in the 7day forcast. I will not complain at all when OLE JACK FROST arrives.

Yeah I know where Woodlawn is. You guys get some rain today? Our whole town was without power most of the day and downtown still is.

I was wanting to go hunting tonight but I gotta be on my way to work at 5 am so I hate staying out late and getting up that early. Thought about going before work, but it's not uncommon for one of my hounds to get way deep and tree and I just can't not walk in and see what they got LOL and them I'm late for work and that's bad, so I usually stick to hunting at night through the week and sometimes hit a morning on the weekend.

Yeah, but Jack Frost usually doesn't hit too hard way down there...LOL!

It does not get as cold as where you are but it gets COLD. It gets below frezzing on a regular basis in the winter with single digit temps. Have seen it go -4 degrees in the early 80's. We don't get the snow you get but that means we get to hunt more than you do in the winter.

It's HOT

But they're movin'. Treed 3 last night and saw six sitting up. Tonight it was 80 at 10pm, so just treed 1 and came home. I was drippin' like a popsical and figured that was enough. Take care, Ron.

Ya it is hot here the guy I handle dogs for told us straight up leave my dog in the kennel!! I think one dump around here a night is enough.

It's 86 degrees at 1:00 am with 72 percent humidity. I have not been able to hunt in almost two months. It's just been to dern hot and humid to hunt. It was 91 degrees at 10:00 pm so it has cooled a little. In the daytime it was 99 with a index of 114. When will it let up?

Don't know what that comment has to do with this post, but I can tell you this, if you was one of my grandkids, YOU WOULD BE ON A MAJOR TIMEOUT!!! Take care, Ron.
