HSUS will impose restrictions & requirements that will bankrupt farmers & ranchers because HSUS proposed legislation will make all animal related business too expensive for consumers to use the producrs.

Those who own & raise food animals will need to be able to AFFORD to HAVE them - HSUS plans to make legislation happen that will place drastic costs & procedures on farmers & ranchers so that NO ONE will be able to afford to raise or purchase animals products for ANY reason. HSUS has millions of $ (received thru donations from animal lovers) to obtain control of many of the food related companies & put them OUT OF BUSINESS because the overhead will be increased, with costs passed on to consumers.

HSUS Plans conversion to VEGANISM

HSHS intends to make animal products expensive to produce, resulting in prohibitive production costs (using EPA/Global Warming/Animal Feeding & Housing legislation, etc.) making animal products too expensive for a majority of people. Therefore the plan is to shut down fast food & grocery companies selling these commodities. HSUS wants everyone to be VEGANS - TOFU & SOY products as substitutes for meat, dairy & poultry items. By owning sufficient stock, HSUS can dictate how these companies conduct business. Remember, Wayne Pacelle's brother Richard is in charge of the Political Science Dept. of a Georgia University where Non-Profit Organizational law is taught.
The general public needs to know that their donations are paying for shares in food companies that are threatened with a painful death because HSUS will create destructive procedures and methods for conducting animal product processing & business.

HSUS is big, rich, and powerful, a “humane society” in name only. And while most local animal shelters are under-funded and unsung, HSUS has accumulated $113 million in assets and built a recognizable brand by capitalizing on the confusion its very name provokes. This misdirection results in an irony of which most animal lovers are unaware: HSUS raises enough money to finance animal shelters in every single state, with money to spare, yet it doesn’t operate a single one anywhere.

Instead, HSUS spends millions on programs that seek to economically cripple meat and dairy producers; eliminate the use of animals in biomedical research labs; phase out pet breeding, zoos, and circus animal acts; and demonize hunters as crazed lunatics. HSUS spends $2 million each year on travel expenses alone, just keeping its multi-national agenda going.

HSUS president Wayne Pacelle described some of his goals in 2004 for The Washington Post: “We will see the end of wild animals in circus acts … [and we’re] phasing out animals used in research. Hunting? I think you will see a steady decline in numbers.” More recently, in a June 2005 interview, Pacelle told Satya magazine that HSUS is working on “a guide to vegetarian eating, to really make the case for it.” A strict vegan himself, Pacelle added: “Reducing meat consumption can be a tremendous benefit to animals.”
