breed her & sell pups might make more.
what in 93 they seperated the sex not sure the purina
race shouldnt do the same
dont want pups
hey they would sell for sure probley but i want a fair shot at the purina race some females never come in heat by there show record and the males dont have to worry im just wondering what they use to stop there females from coming in heat might want to try it if its not going to mess my dog up for i do want pups later to make her a top reproducer of winning dogs if possible she wins her pups win and her grand pups win then you have a top breeding program if only your dog wins then a few years later nobody rembers your dog looking for the future and a top respected kennel with a winning line of dogs not just a winner her self

Ovaban.
I won't mess with Mother Nature again. Took a female out of heat to put her in a hunt and her heat cycles have been erratic ever since.

thats it
thats what im saying also it messes your female up and ruions her from breeding i done that years ago to but its ukc rule not to use steroids to build a dog up but you can use other things to keep them out of heat thats the same thing your not doing your dog justice or your breeding program if you only win with them and can never have a chance to produce what they are or hopefully better its all about some people wants to win that bad sad in the end owell ill just let mine cycle when she comes in and then raise me some winners out of her hopefully others can also just my opion its not fair to all who care about there dogs and the futher of the breed

Once again this year we've lost a few more Purina Hunts. Depending when she comes in you may be able to keep her in shape and miss few if any shows. Kind of a crap shoot but you may get lucky.
I know , I know , What self respecting member of the female gender would let that happen. LOL
sad
sad but thats the way it is not right but who cares

I was told by an old timer to put copper in their water bucket. Like a piece of copper tubing or copper fitting. I don't know if it works, I never tried it. But this guy is 92 yrs. old and swears by it.

thanks ive really thought about it and dont want to ruion my chances of getting pups later so i think ill let her cycle when she comes in and take a chance on makeing up ground later its not worth winning and not being able to get pups later well see if the others feel the same thank you so very much

heat cycle
is there a way to bring em early? like mine is suppose to come in next month but can a guy do something to bring em in early or will that mess em up too?
Kody
Understand you...
Make sure I understand you....It means more to you to put your dog on the road and drag her from show to show and mess up a future breeding program .... for a trophy and a little money!
What people will do to their dogs for the jealousy of winning!

understanding
no not winning the point is its ok to use stuff to keep one out of heat thats not right it shouldnt be used if the kennel clubs care about our dogs they would baned useing it and tell these owners to let their females cycle some showed at least 3 or more shows a month for over a year but what can one person do for the future of our breed its sad there ruioning our top females of our breed just to win these females could reproduce some extra nice young dogs

Careful
Be careful Steve - those hormone shots/pills will mess up your dog's cycle and she may not be able to reproduce in the future. They have passed a drug in Europe that is a heat suppressent, but they won't allow it to be used in the US because of the side effects.
If they come into heat, just put vicks vapour rub on them and the male dogs will not go near them. We ran a female with 2 males today and they never looked at her with the vicks on her.
