Trip to Maine
Donnie Stockton and I had a good trip to Maine , taking 8 bears for a total of 2,198 lbs.
Only two trees , other six were bayed up !

Who did you all hunt with up there? I am from Patten, ME originally and go back periodically to hunt...

That's great! He's like his dad and his uncle and his grandpa it sounds like. I've been busy working and chasing elk so haven't had the dogs out. Headed home tonight so we'll be after the coons again for a while. Two more months before we can get after the cats.

Great time by all, congratulations John and crew.
john, you and Donnie should be proud of those hounds. glad you had such a good trip. I wish we could have spent more time together while we were up there. we did have a nice dinner at the clam shack though, thanks for the tip.

Matt , it would have been nice to take up a hunt with you , Mike and Jeff . And congrats on your week , 6 bears in 5 days is pretty awesome! The red dogs did well !
I did make sure to stop in at the Clam shack on the way in AND the way home . For a road side chip stand they sure know how to prepare seafood !!

John I have not forgotten about that photo of jodys bear, have just been busy will email that you soon. like the post about the trip up here to Matagamon. your dogs and Donnies dogs do a great job!
