Lots of house bred dogs have them stylish queen had then wagers stylish lipper had them some of the skuana river dogs have them mine does. Sometimes at birth I take fingernail clips and cut them off if not a vet will remove tham after 6 mos so age.

if its genics then you would have to trace it all the way back,you cant because it goes all the way to the beging,some may get them.what about the ones that dont can they still pass them or

Never seen a bird dog with rear dewclaws?

I have a female whos' dad had them, and two sisters who had them. I have bred her to dogs that don't carry it and she's had 3 pups that had them. I kept pups that didn't have them, and again bred them to dogs that didn't have them, and still got one pup with them. Tends to be highly passed on. My old female is 3x Queen. Never got a blue eye, yet!

sounds like it is coming from big money's mothers side

Yep my Trackman female has front dew claws.Her pups have them also.

that would be Harry x Rock River Lady, Lady is also trackmans mom, out of 5 litters only one had dew claws, I just dont see any connection...

I had one with a blue eye that went back to queen and also had a dew claw on one foot

Take the dewclaws off when the pups are a few days old ,nail clippers and a little nerve on your part is all it takes. I've done several in my time and never lost a pup doing it .

Have had several harry dogs and litters of harry blooded pups with dew claws. It is not a strange thing in the blood.

Ryan I agree, but I can't find a connection to trace it to one dog or one blood line, I have bred and hunted this blood for years and this is my first litter with dew claws, im kinda excited and will do my best to keep up with how they turn out..
