320 calibration question

Just replaced my 220 with a 320. It almost seems like I have to turn on music and do the hokey pokey to calibrate this 320. I was prompted to rotate like the 220, then roll it side to side, then rotate it front to back. The third process(front to back) kept rejecting and telling me to retry. Is there a short cut to this calibration process?

my 320 does that sometimes, on the third step make sure you keep it flat when you flip it toward youand don't let it roll up on its side, seems to help mine.

mine does the same thing.

The slower you rotate it the better

The last step is a summagun. I did it slow. I did it fast. I guess I just flip it till I get "Ok"!! Thanks everyone.

when youre flipping it make sure you keep it at the same height and try not to lower or raise it. Imagine there is a steel rod goin strait through the middle of your unit and you can only rotate it front ways. Sorta like a chicken on a rotisserie. If that makes sense then it should help

Never had to calibrate my 220. Just bought a 320 and seems I have to calibrate it twice every time I go hunting. Anyone else have this problem?

Calibrate it each time you change the batteries and it will be fine

Have you checked to make sure it's updated.

Last night I made sure to rotate it all three ways SLOWLY. It calibrated on the first attempt. What I did notice was that I HAD to calibrate it again after using it the night before.

.

Did you know there is a personality test associated with calibrating the Astro 220 and 320. On step one of the 320 and on the 220 how you calibrate it is fed into the memory of the Astro to store your personality.
1. If you stand still and spin the astro around in your hand that shows one personality type
2. If you hold the astro out and you and it turn in circles then that shows another personality type.

Are you an Astor spinner or do you spin with it?

I must have split personality as I have done it both ways lol !

Always have more trouble on the last step. Often wondered if my hands were interfering in some way since I seem to have to hold it more with both hands .
