Watched the show when I was little and still love watching it now. I've seen every episode at least 4 times and some probably as many as fifteen times or more.
Loved "Andy Taylor" the icon, but not "Andy Griffith" the citizen (liberal democrat).

Yep you've got that right !!! I watch the show on tv land all the time , it's the only tv show that's never been canceled since it aired , it's been played on at least one tv channel since the early sixths . It really was a true American show , nothing on today's tv can touch it , iam ashamed to turn the tv on now days and see the absolute crap that airs .

My wife bought me seasons 1 through 6 of "The Andy Griffith Show", and I had been watching it the night before "Andy" died.Turned it back on yesterday and kept on watching it.Always will.It's good clean viewing, humerous and usually has a "point" in each episode. RIP "Andy Griffith", you will be missed, but never forgotten.

My favorite episodes where when the " darlins " came to town . My second hobby is playing bluegrass and old country western music . I liked the very first darlin episode when earnest t bass was after Charlene to court her . An old man darlin told Andy an Barney best to travel by daylight cause things get alittle hairy around the Robert e. lee national bridge at night . Then Barney asked Andy I didn't know we had such a thing and Andy replied we don't it's just a big oak tree that fell across a shallow spot in the creek . My favorite by far !!!!

I kind of liked Andy Taylor and Will Stockdale( No Time for Sargeants), but I can`t stand Andy Griffith! A typical Hollywood lib. I liked the show, but mainly it was Don Knotts who made that show. When he left, so did their ratings!
