Guy I hunted with Saturday night had one as a spare. Pretty bright little light!

nice little light for a back up

The draw back I have is that without the frosted lense, it is just a spotlight because it shoots a square, yes I said square, spot with no illumination around your feet. You have to slip on the frosted lense to walk with. Then take it back off to shine the tree. Overrated and over priced in my book. But that is just my opinion.

And when the man above said no illumination he means NO ILLUMINATION, save your money and get another light. It is a tight spot with but it is only a concentrated beam about the size of a ball cap..... a square ball cap.

I am not a big fan of the cap lights period for the reason that the lights put of some sort of freq that interfers with VHF radios, maybe they all do these days, but my old Blazer belt light didn't do it, and my Cajun box light didn't. I certainly haven't tried all the new lights out there but I can tell you those two lights were money well spent.

I am in the market now and considering the Boss belt light, however if it causes my VHF to squelch, it will be out of the question. I do like the green cat eyes option.

The frequency of the drivers for the leds make your vhf squeich, If that is a must for you then I would stick with a 5100 head.

never seen nothing tri tronics made that was any count . havent seen anyone using the light but i think i seen it was 180 lumen if so thats not all that bright , alot of these new led cap lights are comparable to 21 volts on 5 click on low side , thats not enough for me , i like to light a tree up when needed .

this maybe true with the new led heads, if that is in fact what is causing it, but the old 4 led retangular head that Blazer had out doens't cause the radio to squelch, and it is still in great shape after 5 yrs of use, the battery pack is bad, but never had a bit of trouble out of the head. I like the head so much that I tried to get another one, but no one carries it any more....had a heck of a time finding pop covers for it when mine broke. That head is bright and it put off alot of light around my feet and such which I really really like. Tight spots are a bit over rated in my book. JMO

I have one and I love it!!!! You MUST have the diffuser lens to get around. We use it for everything!! Looking for nightcrawlers, camping, soon to be frog gigging and most importantly, coonhunting!
I have the Bright Eyes 21 volt white lightning package and this light is close but a hundred times better due to the size and lightness!!!

The older I get the easier & lighter I need it to be . Been using a Predator since they came out ( similar to Razor) and get by just fine. Not overwhelming by any means but it works and it's small and easy to live with. At the same time age has also required me to need as much light as possible to see those big trees. I bought one of the Crystal Cordless Spotlights to handle the hard ones where they won't look. I think when that doesn't do it I'll be the old guy listening from the truck.

Night razor

I wasnt a big fan of them when saw them come out but my dad bought one and let me say I will own one in the future I loved it light as a feather didn't even feel like you were coon hunting just going for a walk. It is true though that you have to take lens on and off tp shine then walk leaves off plenty bright enough to find any coon but i got my big light back out now.

I will keep my sunspot this is a very nice light dim is good to walk bye and hi will light up the tree when i need it and no tight spot

Best Hunting Lights

I've had many brands of hunting lights over the years. These, by far, are the best hunting lights http://www.niteriderhollow.com/ . They aren't the cheap plastic ones that crack when you drop them. They have a lightweight aluminum shell and are SUPER bright and they even have red and green color built in with the turn of a switch. The battery life on mine lasts all night and then some. Absolutely worth the money!
