-- why wear bibs? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=319633)
why wear bibs?
i've been wearing bibs since i started hunting 10 years ago. now i'm wondering how bibs are better than the pants, made the same way. if you wear bibs, you still have to wear a shirt. what protection do you get from the bib and suspenders? i think i'm going to try the pants and a tough usmc shirt. at least i won't have to hear the clanging of the fasteners when i dry them.

i like em- lets you just hang loose.
I wear them to keep the biars off of my stomach and chest as well as keeping trash out of my boots. I like to cut them off just above the knee, they walk much better and still do a great job.

I wear them everyday. That way I can bend over and not show my crack or have to pull them up every time you turn around.I'm all gut and no butt.

You don't have to wear a belt to keep your pants from falling below you gut when you get old and fat like me. Don't matter how tight I pull a belt my pant want stay up. Best thing for me my wife says is diet. She always tells me there for old fat guys I guess thats me.
I only wear them because of all the pockets.
i dont wear em cause when ya fart , it blows up through em right in your face.

The blood of hide season washes of the muck of hunting sloughs in the summer. Then the snow of late winter washes of the blood. Wading across a river or two in summer helps too.

It reminds me of a good story:
Me and a couple buddies were duck hunting a few years back when one of them says he has to go take a crap. So he climbs out of the blind and goes off behind us into the woods, A few minutes later he comes back and takes his seat. About 15 seconds go by and me and my other buddy are about to die from the stench. I asked him if he remembered to wipe or what. Come to find out when he dropped his bibs to crap he squatted right over them and crapped on the top of the back of the bibs. Then when he was done (it was cold the day and he was in a hurry) he pulled them back up and dumped his whole load right down his back and into the bottom part of his bibs and it was still in there when he got back in the blind. We kicked him out!!
