DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW ANY OF THE PURNIA DOGS DID AT THE VA STATE HUNT

Unofficially speaking....

Slugger picked up 110 points at the VA State with 2 cast wins, one of which was High grand for the night.

Rocky II picked up 60 points on Friday night.

Ray(bootick) picked up 50 points on Saturday.

Maggard's Rat picked up 50 on Saturday as well.

Friday night Slugger and RockyII came back to the club, both winning their respective cast with 175+ each. DEADLOCK tied. Rocky II won the coin toss and picked up the 10 bonus points for being high grand nite.

What has happened with

the Crank dog? Is he just winning his cast or has he taken a few hunts off?

I haven't hunted with Slugger but I have heard he is nice. I wouldn't feed Rocky II but I do like the race staying competitive until the end.

The dogs go through slumps.

Ray is a on a 6 of 10 cast win run
Slugger and Rocky II are a on a 5 of 10

Crank is sporting a few stitches where barb-wire met his manhood.... NOT a pretty site I am sure.

Crank had a huge run early in the summer but has dropped some of late.

Unofficially the previous high score is broken.... Slugger needs 2 more cast wins to beat Hardwood Dan's alltime high score.

i like to see a score

like 175 coming from big names like slugger and rocky ll it lets ya know there not just hot nosed hi powered blow out the country till ya find one tree dogs. 175 + means they can get in the trenches and grub one up.

That doesn't show how many circle points they had. They could have made 10 trees and only saw one coon. I will not talk bad about any man's dog. Especially on the computer. But you can right it down that Rocky II would not eat any Black Gold dog feed from my house.

Hey Lum,
now, now, that Rocky dog has to be doing something right to get where he is! He could eat all the PKC dog food at my house he wanted!!!!LOL

I know you love them Walker dogs, but come on Lum, give credit where credit due!! I'd feed any of them top dogs irregardless of breed or color!! I'm sure there are some I'd like more than others.

You hunting Roscos this weekend?

I am not talking about Rocky II because he is an English Dog. That doesn't make one bit if difference to me. You know I used to be an English man. So color or breed doesn't have anything to do with my thoughts about the dog.

Oh and yes I will hunt Roscoe this Friday night. If I do any good Friday then I will try and get him finished out on Saturday. But if Friday doesn't turn out well then I won't hunt him again until Autumn Oaks.

mean the West Virginia State hunt?? And Lum,,evidently Rocky has what it takes he's winning anywhere they put him,,and I'd be willin to bet ya that if'n ya think your feeding sumpthin better,,Randy and Rocky II would take ya up on a challenge in a minute,,and honestly,,Slugger,Rocky,or any of those top Purina runners could eat Purina at my house!!

I know

that Rocky II has done alot of winning. And I know the English Breeders and English People are proud to have a dog up at the top of the Purina Points. Rocky II being an English dog has NOTHING in the world to do as to why I don't like Rocky II.

So again this is NOT against the English Breeder nor English people in general so please don't get offended by my views.

rocky 2 is a pretty nice hound.
he is just a dog like any dog,but hunt him 30 nites straight and you cant find a whole lot to fault him on.he is not junky or mean,he is good about haveing a coon,he goes hunting good and has a good mouth,and he travels good.
i have hunted walkers for many years and will continue to hunt them,but i hunted rocky 2 for three months in 5 states and can tell you that he can eat my feed anytime.i find his owner to be an honest man that has treated me justly.
i can also vouch for slugger and crank being coondogs that can tree coon all across this country in any conditions.
