Valley Creek Lights ??

Valley Creek Lights Who make them do they make them or does somebody make light for them. Why are there burn time on the high side so low. The people that have one how are they holding up like a 26 volt

I have 3 of them and they are the a very good light. My girls hunt with them and love them. They burn it from the time they get out of the truck till they get back in the truck all night. We have never had one run low and Redgy and the staff at Valley Creek are one of the best you will deal with. Hope this helps.

Valley Creek lights are made by Jim Kelly who markets his own light called the K-light.

He makes several of the lights you see for sale, including Valley Creek. If he makes them, they are a top light.

Valley Creek will take care of you if you buy one of their lights. So will Mr. Kelly if you buy a light direct from him. I recently bought a light from Mr. Kelly and am well pleased.

One last thing....if you by a k-light, you can get a 21 volt instead of a 20 volt that VC sells, or you can get a 28 volt instead of a 26 volt that VC sells. Jim told me that most of the lights he makes for other distributors, that they want 26 volts because they don't have to deal with people complaining about blowing bulbs as much. So with his k-light he can make you either a 26 or a 28.

What about burn time on high side of a 26 is only 10 hours and other peoples burns 15-20

I did mean low side bright eye get 24 on the low side

I have a 26v from valley creek w/bulb saver and realy like it. haven't had any problems with it.
Redgy is one of the best guys I have ever delt with!

If you don't like what you hava heard about the Valley Creek Lights, choose another light.

I have had mine for a couple of years now, I love it. I blew 3 bulbs since I have had it, and it was my fault. I run my light the whole time I an in the woods, only ran low once, and it was the second night in a row, I had forgotten to charge it.

Best light I have ever owned, period.

the best lights i have ever owned i have 2 21 volt and the 26volt both top notch lights never a problem one very well made light very good boots and chaps also i have had the 21 volt for a yaer now never had it go dead the 26 volt i have used 2 or 3 nights in a row and never went dead and there boots and chaps are out standing will never buy anything else again exp. boots the chaps on the vally creek boots are very durabule and not had them leek one time have put them through a year of hard hunting and im talking hunting almost all year 4-5 times a week avg

Tyler if you want that Bright Eyese to run for 24 hours you will have to have it turned down so low that you won't be able to see in the woods. They use a reostat switch and you can turn it way way down. Any similar voltage light is going to have similar burn time with the same amount of energy draw and therefore a similar arount of light coming out of the head.

Pick your light based on warrenty and customer service, everything else is pretty much the same.

Ok thanks so the low side is just low on some brands than other.

Tyler so we are not mixing apples and oranges I would like to state these lights have different switches. There is a position switch or some call it a click swith. Each position varies the amount of current going to the bulb. Then there is a rehostat type switch that is a smooth operating switch. You can go many more than 10 hours on the low side with this type switch, its just that normally you wouldn't have this switch down this low. This type switch also can come with a feature that even if you turn the switch all the way to high there is a time delay that allows the bulb to warm up before all the voltage is supplied to it. There are many good lights out there and many of the lights and components for lights are built by the same company and have different labels put on them. I tend to chuckle when I read on here how brand x light is better than brand y light and they were both made in the same shop just put into a different box or belt. Coonhunters are tuff on thier equipment due to the elements they hunt in. Find someone that will give you good service if a problem comes up.

I know there are several different ways that light guys will caculate how long they will last.

Some guys base the estimate on running the bulb on the low side and the swich on the battery on the lowest setting. Other guys measure with the bulb on the low side and the battery switch on the highest setting. Lastly, some guys just do the math on the circuitry versus the volt/amps and mathematically come up with an estimate.

I have never owned a bright eyes light, but I promise you, you will not be able to effectly hunt with that light for 24 hours.

And I promise you one other thing....a 21volt/4 amp light with new batteries, with a 12v32 bulb and a 5 position switch is gonna burn about the same amount of time no matter whose name is on the battery case.

Nobody out there has a super light. The only substantial burn time you are going to gain is by either going to an LED head or increasing your amps, to a 21 volt/8 amp light, then you are carrying two battery packs. Even the burn time gained going from a 21 volt to a 26 volt is very minimal.

I have a 26v. belt light made by them, and I wouldn't have anything else!! I have had mine for a little over 5 yrs. I can hunt for a week without having to charge it!! That is 4 nights a week and at least 3-4 hours a night. It has been completly submerged, yeah I thought I found a shallow spot in the river, LOL, and it never gave me any problems!
