WOW, that was real informative Allen. Its a good thing people arent REALLY trying to find this information so that they can make decisions for the 2011 year!
So are the rumors about the major events NOT being Purina events true? Is it true that the emphasis is gonna be on the State hunts? Is it also true that the breed hunts aren't gonna be Purina events?

I heard that Purnia points were only going to be given for the state hunts. Maybe they will get this state race going and give them for it allso. Makes a good rumor anyway. LOL

Well I looked at the list and I'm gonna have to think it thru before I say a lot.
If I'm correct it means zero Purina points for ALL breed days, Grand American, Winter Classic, Autumn Oaks and the World. A lot of extra miles unless I quit going to the 3 Redbone breed days I usually attend and maybe some others.
My thing is the shows and I've seen some events suffer from the stress of competing with the Purina contenders, usually in the Grand Champions and champions.
My first thought would be why didn't they just add ALL State championships to what they already had to spread the field out a bit like it was before the numbers at the hunts started to drop and many lost their Purina status?
Like I said , I'll watch a while and see.

I agree with Dale - some...why not leave the big 3 events as Purina events? they are the largest events for all participants and UKC. ppl take vacations around these events. so does that mean these 3 events will no longer be or no longer be as big a deal? I'll pull up a chair and wait with ya Dale.
