do you realize how much taxes will go up on middle class if mitt is elected he already said he wants to keep parts of obama/romney care wake up ! only the rich should vote for mitt he promised them a tax cut and i'm sure he will keep that promise somebody has to pay and if it's not the rich it will be the middle ! regan cut taxes on the rich and then raised taxes on the middle 11 times yet your side thinks he was great then there was bush jr what a joke cut taxes during wartime first time in 200 years wake up !

you must be brain dead i graduated high school in 1979 went to work in factory laid off 6 months later and not a job to be had moved to california got a job paid 3.50 a hour rent was 700 a month lasted a year before gave up and came home still no work then moved to texas found work paid 5.00 a hour rent still high 600 lasted six months they hated yankee's and still do interest rates were 18 percent for car loans 13 percent for homes i remember it well the good old days you wack job !

In the end all politicians are crooked all have their agenda that is going to benefit them. At this point I will vote for the one that will do the least damage and it won't be Obama. As far as I'm concerned he wants the government to make your decisions for you. He will promise you everything. Just remember a government that can give you everything can and will take it away.

You are absolutely wrong about this. The 47% that pay 0 taxes are the ones who work but have many deductions and or dependents or are underemployed. Social Security has nothing to do with it unless you are drawing it AND holding down a job with taxable income at the same time. Even then you have to make thousands of dollars from your income earning job before you are taxed on your social security, and once you reach a certain age, you are not penalized at all on your social insecurity!
The 47% are the ones who are not married and shacking up but both parents work (and make the same salary as a married couple) and there are 3-4 children in the home and they qualify for many tax credits. If that same couple filed a married joint return they would not get nearly as much money back from the Fed.
Seen it many times. Why, if my wife and I earn 50,000 a year and have the same deductions as you and your wife, should we have to pay $4000 in fed tax while you make $25000 a year, do not pay any tax at all, and still get $4000 back from the fed??? If you want to get up to the standard of living like we have, whoever in your house is not working needs to get a job or stop being underemployed. I should not have to raise your standard of living because you wanted to have a bunch of younguns and have one parent stay at home. Poverty is a choice you made together. That is the 47% that pay no taxes!

I don't know about you, but I get a little worried when he says CHANGE HAS COME TO AMERICA.

Anyone have any clue as to what Obama's agenda is? How about picking up his book dreams FROM MY FATHER. Anyone know who his father was? He was born and raised in Kenya when Kenya was fighting for independence from the British. His father was a nut case along with his father.

The entitlement crowd is creeping closer and closer to a majority in this country, if they aren't already. If 51% of the populus is on the government tit, and is being paid for predominantly by the 49% that aren't, how can any candidate that opposes these handouts ever be elected.

How about no subsidies? No welfare? No more Social Security? No income taxes? No redistribution of wealth?
How about I'll make my money, you can make yours, we keep the majority of it for ourselves and not hand it to "big brother"!?!
Are we as a nation that weak that we think the government can take care of us better than we can take care of ourselves?
I can see a flat tax to cover infrastructure and military, but do I really need to be paying the government 40% of my money to house an unemployed unwed mother and her 14 kids? Or spending a BILLION a year in a middle eastern dirt hole country that hates us anyway!?!

If you are drawing SS and paying taxes, you have some form of income stream other than SS that is taxable.
Nobody that I know that is retired or receiving SS disibility has to file any type of income tax document. SS is not typically taxable income. There is extreme cases where you have a job and make too much money and have to pay taxes, or perhaps you are married and your spouse is a high earner and you file together, but these cases are out of the ordinary.

Your tax liability should be coming from your pension, which has absolutely nothing to do with SS! I do not know how those work but do not get paying taxes and SS confused when you are also drawing a pension. Many Americans are living off SS alone! Are you saying your wife draws nothing at all???

I hate to even add to these crazy posts with you all going at it with eachother......But, none of you can actually/honestly say either candidate is for the middle class. There isn't any politicians up in higher positions that really represent us. I work, hunt, and spend money in my community. My wife works and also spends money in our community. We have 2 kids and DEFINATELY pay taxes! I don't forsee any decent people having a run for President, it takes too much money, too many lies, too many scandals, and too many favors. We need to get involved in local government and start there, instead of fighting eachother on here! We all basically want the same thing....to work and provide for our families. If not, you need to. Niether Romney or Obama will help us do that..........
