Progesterone test

What are you guys paying for progesterone tests when you have one done?

I had one done Friday along with Brucellosis and was shocked at the amount I paid.

Don't know how much it would be here in Canada but I'd bet the farm it would scare the be_geez out of you when they charge 140. For a rabies shot. Lol

$25-$60... It all depends on the Vet. They charge whatever they think you will pay. It is best to ask them up front how much they charge. You can usually shop around and find one that charges $30-$40. If you are doing AI, then you can usually negotiate a flat rate that includes progesterone tests.

3 progesterone test bred the gyp $163.00. I did check with anouther clinic and they told me it would be $750 to $1000. Wasnt that tough for me to decide where to go.

Vet in Kentucky did progesterone,pulled semen and ai d female and bill was 42$ and he said it was reg price ,, my vet in md charges 105$ for prog but 35 for a smear and he has been dead on just using a smear the last 6 times , dean bietzel said he has never seen a vet so accurate on smear tests. , old school and last of years practicing most of them rape you imo

I paid $191 for progesterone and brucellosis
I felt violated! LOL

I let the lady at the front desk know what I thought too!

Clinics that are used to dealing with Granny's little lap dog will bend you over and nicely put it to you with pricing on services rendered.

PROGESTERONE TESTS

Ived had it done for $40 by a vet tech. but if a vet does it they charge twice as much at the same hospital. I just want the test not a physical exam by a Veterinary.

Our local Hosp. does the blood work my vet charges me $50 if she draws the blood and sends it and $50 if I draw it and take it ??? you have to heve the letter head. LOL
