Yeah where about you thinking? I'm about 20 minutes west of Wisconsin dells. You're welcome to hunt with me a night if you want. It's hilly. Otherwise head north to find big chunks of public land

I am from north ga so hills are no problem thanks for the invite. I am still looking for places up there looking for a place about midways of the state with state land to hunt and camping on it or where ever you guys suggest I go thanks for the replays
If your going that far north don't forget about wolves. Welcome to come my way about an hour north of Madison Wisconsin. 99 night rain and I own a couple togeather and hunt together a lot. You could camp at my place if you like. Enough public ground to hunt all within 10 min drive of the house.
Your more than welcome to come hunt with me! 715-220-1471
Thanks guys for all the help
Hunting trips Wisconsin
I am trying to plan a weekend hunting trip in Wisconsin, any recommendations ? There doesn't seem to be much online about any.
thanks!
If you get to the top 1/3 of the state you can camp on National forest land, there is a lot of county forest land and paper mill land that is open for public hunting. Southern 1/2 of the state has more coon. State parks have camp grounds and state wildlife areas can be hunted. Deer season starts Saturday and runs for 9 days. It will get cold sometime. Last 1/2 of January the coon will be rutting and that is good hunting. If you get near the southwest corner of the state let me know and I will take you hunting. Terry
what about wolves?

What about Wolves? DNR has a map try to avoid the hot spots! More dogs are killed by cars. Bottom 1/2 of the state is ok. Do I think they suck yes. But not going to let that keep me from hunting.
Where do they tree them 40 and 50 pound coon in your state.

That is a good question. I need a better dog because I cant find them. Could help you find a 30# but not 50#.

30's to 40's I think your best shot is way up north. But you are getting into some terrain up there and then add the wolves. Anything over #34 or so in the southern part is impressive. But I agree with Terry on what he said.
