.

If you updated them the only thing to do is call Garmin and get a replacement collar. Probably around $120 bucks

I just had my DC 50 replaced. Now I keep loose communication when my dog gets over 300 yards. Do you think updating the 320 will fix this?

It is worth a try to update. You have a warranty on it so it would be going back

Yes they have a year warranty. Garmin will want to know the serial numbers. Take the collar strap off and it is on the back of the receiver.

I really like the Garmin systems and find them very useful but for the price you pay for them they just dont seem to hold up very long. I believe they only warranty them a year because they know most of them won't make it two years and they would have to replace it. I had an ATS before the Garmin and that thing is close to 20 yrs old and still works great. Just change the batteries and good to go. Garmin acts like its no bid deal for you to send them $150 to get a refurbished collar but lot of guys just can't shell out that cash after paying $1100 for the thing 14 months before.

Mine did that one time. I took the cover off the collar and unplugged that battery for a while. Made sure it was good and dry, plugged it back in and worked like a champ.
