2015 Performance Sire!

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, i would like you to know that big titles do not make a dog a reproducer. Almost every one of Dans pups so far has made a coon dog.

Dan is a fine hound and very fine looking. DOB 6-14-11. He treed his first coon at 9 months old no feeder.Very independent hunter. Usually a second strike/first tree. Nice bawl on track, loud dying bawl locate a child could call, and a good transition to a medium heavy chop on the tree about 80-100bpm. Has plenty of mouth but not so powerful its annoying to listen to. Hes easy to call. 65 pounds. Hes almost CH also working on Nitech. I don't comp hunt very much as there's not a lot of hunts around here and i have a very demanding job. But he hunts the same without titles as he would with them. He has sired 2 litters of 8. The first litter is 2 years old. 1 male was running and treeing at 10 months, 2 females by a year, 2 males by 15 months. One was stillborn, an owl got one, and one is still not doing anything due to the owner not hunting him at all. All are loud and big. Has a litter born May 3rd, 2014. I own 2, a male and female, and they are both running and treeing with Dan. I have yet to single the out but they are open trailing and stay put treeing at 7 months. My brother in law has a female out of the litter she is treeing but hasnt started open trailing yet. The whole litter was very nice. All the pups of this litter are loud, houndy, long eared, well knuckled, straight legged, strong pastered hounds. They all have a ton of drive and will get after it and are all turning out to be no bull**** dogs. The last female i sold is running and treeing solo 7 months. They are all natural show dogs as well. My male has only been to one show so far and took home a best of show WITH multiple competition. Hes throwing early starting dual purpose hounds!!!

Stud Fee is $100. Depending on the breeding of the female, I may consider a stud for first pick pup back.

I would really love to see him produce more fine pups. Hes a very nice hound.

thank you. i wish he'd set up on the bench like that all the time hes stubborn as hell hahaha. hes always been a natural, treed his first wild coon alone no feeder at 8 1-2 months. hes not a first strike dog has never been. Usually will tree first. His only fault is he will once in a blue moon tree a possum alone. He will get out and hunt and if theres nothing moving he will tree one if its there. I had him broke of it until he was a year and a half, i hunted him with a buddys dog a couple times that was a straight up possum dog, which i didnt find out until later. The first few times she treed a possum he didnt bother at all, after a couple more times of hunting with that dog hed start to back her, but never struck and treed them alone. hes almost 3 and i can count on a thumbless hand how many possums hes treed alone. Im not afraid to say it because ive seen more grand nite dogs tree trash than him. the problem is were covered up with possums and dont have many coons here at all but he will still get the job done real nice. ive had him in thick coon before and he will outrun or keep up with just about any dog. ive seen almost no interest in him at all because hes not titled but as ive said before, its just a piece of paper to me. Hunts the same without it as he would with it. Im very proud to own him. The first litter he sired, one was stillborn, one was taken by an owl, and of the 6 that are still around only one isnt hunting. It disappoints me because its owned by my brother who has hunted him less than 5 times. Shame. All the others are from what i hear pretty good dogs. Even had one treeing before a year.

Thanks. He is throwing some very quality pups. Have a male and 2 females out of his recent litter which they are 7 months now. They are running and treeing. Very nice pups. To bad nobody looked at him at all this year. He could have had nice pups on the ground. Will be performance sire again for 2015!
