Feeling Blessed to be alive after getting hit by a Cement Truck

My daughter Laura and I were out getting new coonhunting permission today. On the way back home had to stop quickly to avoid the vehicle in front of us. Unfortunately the Cement truck behind us did not get stopped. Hitting us and propelling us into the car ahead of us. My new truck is a write off, the good thing is no one got seriously hurt. My dog box pop into the air wrecking it, so I guess I will be in need of a New Dog box as well. The police officer said if we were not there, the car in front of us most likely would have gotten run over, so in turn we saved the people in front of us. All I can say is God is good!! God is good all the time. I would hate to know that I had to face the world tomorrow without him on my side. You have a lot to be thankful for and I thank God that he was there to be with you and your daughter in your time of need.

Glad you guys are okay John. My dad was hit by a cement truck when I was 11 years old. Cement truck ran a redlight and plowed into him with full force. He was in the hospital for over a month and to this day still doesn't remember the impact of the accident. He was blessed as well and I still had a great dad to raise me. All of the other stuff can be replaced, but you and your little girl couldn't. I'm glad you are both okay.

GOD IS GOOD!

God has helped a number of us survive some scary accidents and sometimes you look back and think... why? In your case you know that YOUR vehicle saved the car in front of you! In my case... I was just glad I hit a truck bigger than me(it was just a triaxle dump truck I hit).... If my truck had hit a little car I'd have killed the occupants. IF My truck had hit a car... not the dump truck I'd have surely killed them... Me? Hey, I get by just fine... I'm so happy to be alive every single day!
I also don't recall my accident... I have amnesia from a distance before the crash...and for a good while after... and I am REALLY glad!

I am so VERY glad to hear you guys came thru this so well!!! DO be sure to watch for head or neck aches...and see the Dr the MOMENT you feel ANY after effect... do NOT be a dummy(like me) and act like you're fine... it really doesn't help.... Sometimes the coonhunting types of folks are a bit silly about injuries and such....
