Puppy size question

Whats the average size of a 6 month old walker pup?Just curious cause I picked one up the other day and it seems way undersized for its age. Thanks in advance.

You didn't specify what sex the dog was. If its a female anywhere from 25-40 lbs would be normal. A male prolly 35-50 lbs is normal. I would make sure I feed it puppy chow till 9 months to a year old. I have owned full grown walker females that only went 30-35 lbs though. Just feed it the recommended amount on back of bag, worm it and take it to the vet if you still have concerns.
Or did I misunderstand that completely and you think they sold you a younger dog papered as an older pup?

They dog is a female.I wormed her yesterday and set her up with an automatic feeder full of Purina puppy chow.Man that feed stinks.Does anyone think Diamond Puppy Chow is just as good?Im thinkin bout tryin it.I hope she comes outta this rut or she will be a real small dog.Her parents are both decent sized dogs.

I'd take her to the vet. Might have an infection requiring antibiotic. Does she have plenty of room? Might be a problem with changing food from what previous owner used. My 10-month-old has had diamond all the way. I’ve seen pretty soft stool off and on but he has done great on it. If the pup was under-fed, she’ll catch up in size. Wick believes pups fed out too quickly to full size don’t perform as well.

i use purina one large breed puppy for a yr. if pup on feeder and unable to regulate itself, it could cause increased stools. also there are 3 types of puppy chow feed, 2 that are colored I think. I'd get the one w/o colors if that was the way you were going. may have to worm a few times. if pup was on a different feed and you switched cold turkey that could cause intestinal upset as well. if it had a funny smell, could be rancid or sour which could be an issue in itself, much like you eating bad food.
