Sunspot or Sunfire
I know everyone seems to be pretty pleased with the Sunspot products. I know the Sunfire is the lastest creation, which has a tighter spot. I'm looking to purchase one, but not sure if I want to get the original or the new Sunfire. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Haven't got to hunt with the sunspot yet, but do own a Sunfire and am very well pleased with it. I think that overall, the Sunfire is more practical for my type of hunting.

My buddy has the sunspot it is a great light, but for me and my old eyes, it it to much flood light for me with the leaves on,but with that said it will light up the tree empty of leaves real fast.Great winter light. I have the sunfire and it will burn a hole throught the leaves in the summer time.I like the sunfire better because of the tighter spot it produce's other than the sunspot which is a flood light. My buddy has found every coon that i havewith his sunspot but I usally get them to look at the sunfire quicker than the sunspot when walking in to the tree.

sunspot
if u want a tight spot go with laser torch
I like the Sunfire better than the Sunspot. Sunfire is brighter and has a tighter spot, but it has enough ambient light around it to catch the eyes when the leaves are on. JMO.

Sounds like both do a good job at the tree, just personal preference.
Which is easiest to walk with? Apparantly I don't see everything underfoot like I did in younger years but I do fall better.

They Both
are good lights. They both have a good halo around them. I own 5 torch lights 2 of the lt1, 2 of the lt2, and a Pro. I like dealing with Bobby. He was at the Grand American and I ordered a lt2 for my wife. Then I wanted to get it on a pink hat. He took the time to find me one and send it to me on a moments notice. He also sends a copy of The New Testament Bible with his orders. I still have a Cajun Light from 2006 when he owned them. It's still good as new. It's just all a matter of preference. But I am glad not to fight cords and battery packs anymore.
I've used both the Sunfire and the Sunspot.
The Sunspot has a very wide, shine the whole tree at once, type flood light. Other lights that I compared it to that had a much tighter spot could be seen very easily when shined in the middle of the Sunspot. But, the floodlight made picking up the coon and catching eyes very easy so it was definitely a good light and very easy to walk with.
The Sunfire is also easy to walk with because it has a beam comparable to a 5100 head but has more ambient light around the main beam. It also is very easy to pick out coon eyes with but the main beam is way more powerful and concentrated than the Sunspot. I haven't seen any light that I think could be seen in the middle of the Sunfire's main beam. Stood on the side of a corn field the other night and shined up into trees across the bottom that I know for a fact couldn't be reached with any other spotlight that I have ever used. So far I've dropped it off my head, it rolled into a ditch, and was still on and hasn't missed a lick. Also, about got drowned in a downpour one night and it didn't go out, so I know it is waterproof. lol.
Although I liked the Sunspot, I've been impressed with the Sunfire.
