Lunchtime at the Grand American - Suggestions?
Duke's - Been there, done that, good but not great.
Antly's - Equal to Duke's
Ryan's - More choice for a bigger group but not authentic SC food like Duke's and Antly's
So thats the 3 I have been to in the past 6 years, looking something new this year...any suggestions?

Out the gate and to the left to the light , then right across railroad and go on across Edisto River to the industrail area. In the middle was a resturant for mostly blue collar. It's country/soul food and lots of it cheap. Probably only open on weekdays if it is still in business.
Chris you know the only BBQ is from eastern North Carolina
Randy, i see you Aint never been to TX

Sweatman's BBQ is 30 miles south of Orangeburg between Eutawville and Holly Hill. It's the eastern NC recipe . It's a 60 mile BBQ! That's about as good as it gets. Not many are worth driving 70 miles to get. LOL
Chris
When you leave fair grounds and go back toward town, turn right at the stop light. About 400 or 500 feet on right is an excellant place for seafood or steak. Sorry I can not remeber the name but I have eat there for 10 years and it is always good. It is a local place, not part of a chain. Enjoy!

About 16 miles down the road in Branchville...try either Ms. Iris's (we always called it Granny's) or Joyce's. They're right next to each other, and both good places to have dinner and a beer. Very hunter-friendly...we're in there almost every weekend during deer season.
