OT......Electronic Cigarettes

Anyone used these things. Do they help ya quit. I really want to quit smokin but everytime I try somthin blows up at work or at home and I just start goin off and feel like I wanna rip sombodys head off. I do alot of ridin at work so my biggest problem is just the habit of somthin to do while im ridin.

Just put em down and walk away. They don't really help anything anyway. You have to quit to realize that fact.

the 1st thing to quit smokin is you really want to quit, not just sayin i want to quit i mean REALLY want to quit.i smoked 2 packs a day for 30 years and i decided i wanted to quit and i did cold turkey.sure its hard but its been 2 1/2 years now and i feel great.

its been almost a year for me and i can tell ya it wasnt easy.I "said" i wanted to quit but deep down i enjoyed it too much.until my heart surgery, a valve replacement.my last cigarrete was the morning of my surgery and about three weeks after i was home i wanted one really bad but i was having problems breathing so i didnt start back was gonna wait until i could breathe better well long story short i had fluid on my lungs and that was enough to stop my urges anymore.i had to go back into the hospital and have the fluid drained off and that was it for me.they said if i had not smoked before i wouldnt have had that kind of complication from the surgery and if i started back it could happen again.maybe so maybe not but im not gonna take that chance, besides i like the way things smell and taste now days.things wont improve overnight but in time you will breathe better and youre sense of taste and smell will improve and you will truley see its a filthy habit....good luck...its worth it

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

I quit ten years ago using Wellbutrin (antidepressant that doctor prescribed to help). Previously, I had tried the patch, nicotine gum, attending Smokenders meetings, RedCross smoking cessation class, and cold turkey.

You take Wellbutrin a few weeks before you try to quit. One morning you'll wake up and your cigarettes taste bad. My first thought was to stop taking those stupid pills they're ruining my smokes Continued to smoke a bit longer only to ease nicotine craving but didn't enjoy it because my cigarettes tasted bad. I set a date and quit completely. Amazingly, the Wellbutrin took the edge off quitting. Didn't feel like "ripping someone's head off" like I had in past attempts. I avoided lots of social situations for almost a year because I didn't think I could handle it. In the past I always thought I could handle cheating occasionally but now I know I absolutely cannot touch a cigarette EVER! Also I found sunflower seeds in the shell really helped while driving. Something to do with my hands and mouth.

I know I sound like a Wellbutrin commercial but it really worked for me.

GOOD LUCK!

I would also recommend Wellbutrin. I'm a nurse and speaking from experience Wellbutrin is a much better option that Chantix. Chantix has some WILD side effects. Good Luck and I hope that you quit.

It's just a mind-over-matter thing! Can't be a wimp and do it! Yes, I would know. I use to be a heavy smoker too. Never took anything to help me. It's all in the head.

Breathin and money are my big motivations. Man them things are gettin crazy with the price. I could almost make a truck payment just about it with what I spend on cigarettes a month.

Chantix worked for me and i have tried them all. The only side effect I had was I didn't and still don't like to be around smoker's!
