Sounds great Tiny!!!

Did you stay out of the puddles while your were there? How many people landed in the creek? lol

I miss the OR events. GREAT people and a ton of fun! Especially when all the other people from the in zone come.

I'm not sure which is worse, lol, blackberries, devil's club, the cactus in WY, or the russian olives in MT. They are all a pain in my rear to hunt around

Congrats Mark, Travis, and Brady!!!

Tim, I didn't do too good but had a good time despite the rain and blackberries. Mark got Shelly qualified in the hunt and the show. I usually have fun in OR, a couple of the guys over there keep you laughing all night. I guess it's a fair trade for the **** blackberries. Melanie, if I never see another blackberry patch I'll die a happy man.

Jeez I guess I need to get my @ss in gear and whip one of these POS dogs I haul around into nite hunt shape so I don't miss all the good stuff

If you wanted to get rid of a light Tiny I would have taken it from you

Kevin.. We didn't see one blackberry patch and treed a coon that night. I had one close encounter with the creek when Nora knocked the coon out and me, the coon and the dogs all slid headfirst for the water. Thank god for the sandbar... But it was all good LOL

I don't think it would work... It is about 3 hours away from the club and you rig/road the dogs... Don't think it is set up for nite hunting

But there are no blackberries

I tried to talk her into guiding but it didn't work. She said there are no blackberries but it isn't a spot that you can cast dogs in so they road hunt it. Melanie, go ahead and rub it in why don't you. I spaced it out earlier so I'll say it now, congratulations Travis, Brady, and Mark.

BLACKBERRYS&BRIARS THE OREGON STATE FLOWER!

TINY

Posted by Kevin Jackson on 03-16-2008 05:13 AM:

Nora, I would have gone with you guys in a second if I could have. Mark and George had to be back home A.S.A.P. in fact we drove straight through and George was pushing it to make it to work on time. I've never had the chance to hunt with dogs that strike off the box. I usually don't hunt with off colored dogs but I would have made an exception. Let me think about it for a second........ hunting with Nora and Melanie - better looking company, warm truck, radio to listen to, get to hunt with rig dogs, no blackberries, 3 hours North which means closer to home. Hunting in a night hunt - high stress, blackberry jungle, can't correct my dog if he's messing up, donated $60 for 2 nights of hunting, withdraw my dog because he's being an idiot, leave in a bad mood because of stress and dog acting retarded. I still need a few more minutes to decide....... O.K. I guess I would rather go with the first choice. Man that was a tough choice. Maybe next year you could save me a spot in the truck and I can ride along on Friday night and then jump into the fire of competition Saturday. Tiny, I think you're right, if not they should make blackberries the state plant.

Tiny,

Instead of hip waders you might try hunting in a dry suit next time, lol. Just have to wear it under your clothes to keep the blackberries from scratching the hell out of it.

Helly Hansen also makes a great storm jacket; we lived in them up in AK. Nice and warm and has a little string you pull when you fall in that fills a chamber for a device that keeps you afloat
