GREAT PICTURE!

I LOVE a hound to look a bit Fierce on the tree, looking up at the coon. The best thing about this picture is that it shows that feirceness is ALL focused AT the coon, while a child holds the hound! Awesome! Hope your son does great in the youth hunts and has a BLAST doing it!
Happy Hunting and may you have many years of fun with your son, Heather

Looks like another one of a great crop on the horizon. Isn't it nice to see so many children continue the tradition?

great pic

good looking son and dog. the best time in the woods is spent with my 2 boys. both of my boys have tried their hands in showing. 1 is 16 and the other 10. they are the future of our great sport. my wife goes also and we like 2 wins having our old dog granded out on the bench.

looky there!

Is this pic great, or what!! Isn't it awesome to have a sport that both parents and the kids can enjoy together? My husband and I have 5 kids. Of course they all have their own little niches that they enjoy, but, COON HUNTIN' and BENCH SHOWS are two things we can all do together.
Nothing better than your son callin' and sayin' "hey dad, get yer boots on, I'm on my way". He's 19 now, and always on the run, I know it makes my husbands day to hear his voice on the phone. As soon as the call comes in from either him or another huntin' buddy, our 16 year old daughter burns holes in the carpet getting to her boots and light, that happen to be hanging right there with dad's. (I'm thinkin' we're gonna need a bigger mud room soon). She shows quite a bit too...but what gets me, and all I can do is shake my head, she seems to pull a Youth Show out of mid air just as one of our blues is in need of his/her last few points to make Champion. Now, all I've heard is..."gee ma, I had to finish her for ya"...rofl. Kids, gotta love 'em, can't sell 'em on e-bay!!
Finally our 9 year old son isn't afraid of the dark any more, and can get out in the woods, too. Made for good bribery to get him to behave in school!
The last two are a bit young yet, although I'm thinkin' our 7 year daughter is going to be one heck of a show handler....
Little Dave, 4 now, is so ornery, he won't need a hound in the woods, he'll tree the coon himself....lol!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!! HOPE SANTA IS GOOD TO YOU TOO!!
