Doubleheader questions ??

Ive been working like a dog all summer and barely hunted at all,i did make it to a couple double headers and entered just to support everyone involved. Havent read up on anything but am curious, what happens to the money if the cast comes back with all circle and no winner ? Also, is there such a thing as sudden death in UKC as long as your back before whatever the deadline is ?

In the event that there are no plus point cast winners in the entire hunt in a slam hunt the 55% of the entries $ proceeds are paid out to each entrant entered in the hunt that has a $30 or less entry fee, 75% of hunt entry proceeds in a $50 hunt. Say there is just one plus point cast winner in the entire hunt then that dog gets the whole 55% or 75% whichever is applicable per the hunt entry cost, 2 winners the get each get 50% of the 55% or 75%, 3 each get 33% of the 55% or 75%. Clubs should have a breakdown sheet on how to payout winners. * not all double headers are slam hunts (slams pay out cash to winners regular double headers don't) double headers may be just a regular open hunt and slams do not have to be double headers they can just be a single hunt that night. All double header slams are automatic split no hunting off for placement where as a single slam may be hunted off for placement and % of $.
Note all open hunts including slams cast are separated registered dogs hunt together and grands and nitech both hunt together in champions casts, with the exception of RQE's where all dogs hunt together. Under the old format in slams all dogs hunted together.
Ties...
Least minus
Most plus tree points
Most circle tree points
Most circle strike points
If still a tie the dogs involved can hunt at 1 hour intervals until tie is broken or flip a coin if all involved agree to do so.

I like the idea of sudden death rather than a scorecard playoff. Simplify things

Simplify??? Have to keep on hunting and see what happens versus just look at scorecard and use what has already happened during hunt? Sudden death is like a do over or Milligun.

Maybe a sudden death, 1st one to tree a coon instead of hunting for an hour but the regular tie breakers should be used first.

I thought the 4 high plus point cast winners could hunt it off in a regular slam hunt,[ not in a double header] if they choice to--if there are more than 4 cast winners with plus points I think all cast plus point winners get their entry fee back first, then what is left of the 55% or 75% of the pot, what ever it would be goes to the top 4 cast winners to be divided or hunted off for--am I right or wrong?

Yes you are correct. He was asking what happens to the money in the event of dead casts. Dead casts get nothing unless no casts come in with plus points then each entrant gets 55% ($20 & $30 hunts) or 75% ($50 hunts) of their entry fee back.

Yes $25 + $2 per dog for single hunt and $35 + $2 per dog for doubles.

I just think you need a cast winner regardless giving everybody somthing back on a dead cast is to much like a participation award to me.
