Breed inquiry

Good morning and hello! I had a pair of nice hounds awhile back out of a dog named Eby’s Big Bill (Scagg’s Black Slammer x I think Fox River Mandy pedigree is vague) and a Schenker and Dark Hollow bred female called Schenker and Eby’s Jenny (Hobo’s HossxDark Hollow’s Miss Minnie) pretty sure the Jenny dog died with this litter. Long time ago, I know. Had to quit work. Getting put out to pasture. Thought might like to tree a few if I could find that line. Know there was a dog black river Nute out of Bill. Full disclosure—just an old pleasure hunter. Even use my hounds to tree a few squirrels now and then. Two I had would go all day and all night if you was tough enough. Which I ain’t any more. Yes sir DOB 07/01/1999. Hope you had as much fun with yours as I did with mine. I know that's a long time in dog years and people years too. But was hoping I could find something a few generations down that might be similar. Don't mean to be too nosy, but I wonder if you might give me some notion of what your pup was like. I had two males. They started very early. Treed hard but you could hear yourself around them. Might not have been much in competition. Mine were honest treedogs but they would check around if they weren't sure. Easily trash broke. Handled nicely. Probably didn't go hunting like some would like. Drifted a track really well. Nice bawl on a cold track. Maybe tight mouthed for a comp dog. Anyway thanks for that info. Mine was called Mack and he sure suited me.

Mine was fun to hunt no problems at all with him. I think the one that comes to mind is the batman dog am sure there are more but that's a place to start. Go to the stud page and u can look over many peds . Happy hunting 405 229 8964 call we can talk .

Thank you. I'll do that. Used to talk to a fellow name of John Davis on the boards back in the day. Is it black water b & t ? Always has great respect for his opinions on hounds. He seemed serious about breeding good dogs. But, he understood that folks are different and what one person likes another might not. Research shows he has hounds that are of this line. Is that right? Will give you a call if you don't mind .

John's dogs mostly trace back to Combs Smiths Smokey,but if he sees something that can improve what he has he won't hesitate to go get some. Blackwater is correct...]
