-- .22LR ammo (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928412327)
.22LR ammo
What is y'all's perfered .22lr ammo I could come up on a 1,000 rds of Winchester .22LR 40grains and btw I think I have decided on what .22 to get and I'm thinking the ruger 10/22 in synthetic and stainless just got to chose combine or tack down model. What's the difference
Nowadays , around here, it's not what kind of .22 ammo you pick it's whatever your lucky enough to find. .22 ammo is RARE around north Georgia
Anything I can get right now but my favorite is cci mini mags

Was at a small gun shop the other day, they had a dozen bricks on the shelf for 70$, they still got a dozen.
My favorite is CCI SGB. It is a solid flat-nosed 40 grain bullet. Hit at the base of the ear, and it is dead without any pelt damage. Very rare to need a follow up shot.

I just got some cci greentags
I got about 8 boxes of .22 long rifle shells. 50 to a box. I live in North Ga. Around October I will be able to sell them to pay off the mortgage on my house.
Just got 300 rounds of CCI for $27.00 in Lancaster SC

cci stingers... my favorite round on the market. When you hit them with a stinger, they will know it.. actually, most of the time they WON'T know it LOL.
But they can be hard to find so I have about 1200 rounds of hollow point remington golden bullets- They aren't bad for bulk shells- I haven't had one mess up yet.
My rule is never to shoot federal rimfire ammo... a BB gun is more consistent!
