The Original Midnight Flyer- Born 1918

This article was in a 1947 Full Cry Magazine. Hope some of you enjoy this piece of Redbone history. When this was wrote it was straight from the man who owned Midnight Flyer.

Thanks Danny for posting this. The ad sounds like it was written yesterday not in 1940. We are still looking for the same thing out of our dogs today aren't we. It was fun talking to you the other day and keep sending in things like this several of us really enjoy them.

I am pretty sure all of mine go back to him, also.

I have become kind of complacent about looking back more than 4 or 5 generations, because I kind of know a lot of the main lines. I used to study pedigrees like blue prints and it was very hard to go into 6 generations and find at least a couple dogs in common.

Danny

Thank you so much, Im very greatful to have your help. My Grampa always talked about Jungle Jim, Woodpecker, Lookout Luke, Fireball, man he talked to me about all of them.. I believe he had a little blood from all the great dogs way back there. If wish I had the pedigree's on 3 reds he owned Daisy, Katie and Sara Jane. He really caught coon with those dogs but that was WAY back there!

Cool

Cool to think that this was almost 100 years ago. Impressive that the dog looks like he could come back and be a "today" hound.

And the road goes on forever....

Danny

I cleaned it out
