Who to contact at UKC?

Is it just me or would it be helpful to sort upcoming events by closest location to a given zip? I spend hours going thru upcoming events and HTX schedule plugging each town into mapquest.... Here in Ky sometimes a hunt in MO is closer than one in Ky.... Why not make events sortable by closest zip and be able to select event types?? Ie... Nite hunt, HtX, beagle hunts, etc..... Just a suggestion that I think would increase the clubs turn outs.... I know I have missed events because I didn't realize a particular club was so close.... Who knows maybe even auto text alerts or emails when am event is scheduled within a selectable distance from a given zip code.... Something has to be better than the current system....
Thanks Deon Collins

If you are spending hours trying to find the event closest to you, you are doing something wrong.

Posted by Deon Collins on 10-23-2012 01:53 PM:

Why

The best you can do is sort by state and when you live in western ky that is about six states you can get to within 150 miles..... 95% of the towns the clubs are in are really small and therefore you have to put each one mapquest to find the closest one.... If the is an easier way by all means please tell me.....

Took me 37 seconds to find a map of all of the upcoming hunts in Kentucky....

http://www.ukcdogs.com/Upcoming.nsf...;State=Kentucky

By clicking on the placemarkers you can find the date and time of each hunt.....

Just a heads up

The location finder that is in effect right now, while very useful, is only good within one specific state. We are working on setting up a search feature so you can search for any hunts within 50 miles or so of your zip code, which will include multiple states.

It might be a month or two before it's ready, but we're working on it!

Would also be helpful

I may be wrong but I have been trying different things since I know understand how the tool works and it would also be helpful if you could select the type of events...... Ie... Select map and HTX or select map and NH...... just an idea.... but the radius tool will also be very helpfull....... thanks again Deon

Come on over....bring her with you. It's a little "out of my way" to just stop by and get her!

I tried with Ohio and got the map up, however, one of the clubs was not listed correctly. Paint Creek CHC is not supposed to be in NE Ohio. Unless it is, and I've just been missing out on another local club to attend!

If you notice any club pins in weird places, shoot us an email--we can move them. When I was first trouble-shooting the code, Google kept putting some of the events in China.
