Hunt him by himself (only)for about 6 months straight. Shoot every coon he trees out to him, pet the hair off him when he has the coon under control. This will make him tree harder, longer, and muscle up stronger, when treeing with other dogs.

??????

Is this the dog your running the stud ad on in the walker board ??

OK

I read some of your posts ,,i think your a young man wanting to be a breeder and a competition hunter, but i think you might need to slow down and get your dog fully trained before you get all flustered by not getting every thing to fall in place ,,,Mr Mayle gave you sound advice ,,,run the hair off him and best of luck ,,,

I agree with this, and the statement about running him on his own. He may need 6 months like stated above, he may need two weeeks. I had one doing the same thing your dog is doing and it took him a month or so of runnin him alone and he was done finished and ready to go at 14 months.

tie your dog to the tree EVERY TIME he/she trees it teaches them to stay on that tree right or wrong you don't want them leaving tree....hunt it too much by itself and it will be too independent and you'll have fighting problems

i dont know about anyone else but what i want is an independant dog that will get by itself in the hunts. the split trees get ya the points, i agree running them with company every once in awhile would be great but i think this dog needs singled out and finished. i dont see how hunting him on his own would make him mean on tree

not to be a complete prick but are you really trying to stud out a dog that wont even hunt on his own?
