You have one of the very best "squallers" on the market, I won a state hunt a few years ago because of a ZEPP's Squaller. Let me suggest, just play with it, and see what methods work best for you. Tom

Try fluttering your tounge.

I never quite got it right with a squaller. I can get em to look most of the time but I have not perfected it. I have had some luck with my mouth.

Yep I do what Jamie says above. I place my tongue near my top gum and flutter by tongue while blowing into the call while changing the pitch. This sounds creates a young raccoon distress.

To hear different raccoon sounds check out the website below and click on selections under raccoon N00- N04. I believe most people are trying to do the N04 sound.

If you are married ... a word from the wise

Do Not Practice at Home while your wife is There!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, I have many turkey calls, many predator calls, howlers, squirrel calls, coon calls, and even a sand hill crane call. If my wife sees me with one in my hand, I get The Look!!!!!! All married men understand the Look!

I've been told this is the correct way to blow a coon squaller, but I guess I'm too retarded to be able to do it. My tongue won't flutter! Now my wife can do it and I try to take her hunting as much as possible to do my calling for me!

Put your hand over the end and flutter it.
