I wish bats ate these as much as they do misquetoes and nats. If thesethree were gone I'd love hunting hunting much more.

Permanone spray on my clothes and Frontline spray on my terriers. I hate ticks.

Hunted the last two nites and pulled four ticks off of me before I got home, I know it doesn't sound like many but I rarely get any ticks and never 4 in two nights in Ohio.

I use permanone when turkey hunting in Virgina and it works wonders, they crawl about 6-8 inches and are deader than a hammer. DON'T spray on your skin, apply to clothes and let them dry/air out overnight, it even last thur a wash cycle or two. It will solve you tick problems. You can get it at Wally World.

Has anyone tried using Garlic pills or powder? I have heard that it will cut down on the numbers of fleas and ticks... But have never tried it....

I went to the feed store today and they had cattle ear tags called Y-TEX GARD STAR PLUS. Ingredients list as, Permethrin (3-phenoxyphney) methyl(+-)-cis, trans -3 (2,2-dichloroethenyl)-2,2- dimethylcyclopropane-carboxylate* .........10%
inert ingredients .......................................90%
100%
Is this about the same ingrenients as in the PYTHON? I figured these would be the same. Label said for flies and ticks. With the spelling of ingredents these have to be good. LOL!

I use the purple Python ones but know someone who uses the orange ones with same success on ticks and flies.

Only reason I don't use the orange one's as there is a sweet scent to them and don't want to take a chance the dogs trying eat them off each other.

I know cost wise they are about half the cost of the Pythons and think you get more tags too.

I use diesel fuel or fuel oil sprayed on skids that I use for shade proped up against dog houses. Back on the farm never was there ever any bugs around the diesel fuel tank. Not to mention strange dogs don't go sniffen on your dog on a nights hunt. Multipurpose uses
