I very seldom use hotmail or messenger but now I WONT AT ALL!

i didn't know this, but i did know they donate a million dollars per year to these people. this is another way the anti's are coming together to fight for dog exstinction.

Question

I'm NOT a computer expert At ALL
But, isn't the whole world operating on Microsoft programs? If there were a way to "dump" Microsft I'd DO IT!
Can using an Apple Computer & Mac programs cut into Microsoft revenue? I'm ASKING because I truly don't understand the complexities of the "computer world" but if we could boost "MAC" sales & programs & therefore take a bite out of Microsoft - count me in. Since Microsoft & Yahoo are supposedly "in bed" now, doesn't that mean using Yahoo is also supporting HSUS? What's the solution, other than to let the world know the TRUE FACTS & GOALS about HSUS?

But even using AOL could support HSUS

if you're using any Microsoft programs - Microsoft previously stated they are sharing a PORTION of revenue - doesn't this mean HSUS revenue will come from more than one Microsoft program? Good point though Steve - will switching to AOL actually cut into Microsoft donations to HSUS? Are there other internet mail programs also available that sidestep Yahoo?
I truly do not understand how the internet and computer programs actually work. I just do not want to fund HSUS.

The Messenger is intregreted into the Microsoft programslike Outlook, etc. It will take few days, but I'll get rid of it when I figure out how. I never used Hotmail or Messenger. I can't do anything about previous Microsoft purchases, but I can control it now. Thanks for keeping us informed.

I'm trying to get more information on this. Will post it when I find out myself. Thanks for all those concerned.

Firefox has Thuderbird mail...........You can convert most of the big mail programs over to Thunderbird.

I use both ISP and website emails in Thunderbird by setting up a Pop account like in Outlook.

this link tells more about the program, looks like you can choose the cause to donate to. Also, you have to sign up, just using microsoft as your browser won't automatically contribute. Of course, we still need to contact them if at all possible, maybe they would remove HSUS from their list???? Unfortunately, I think a lot of people still think they are trying to help animals by donating to HSUS.
