went 3 for 2 and I got wet ,drainage ditch was a little deeper than my chaps but it was worth it, and it was cold. but the weather was awesome.

Nice and warm . A little foggy, 2 for 2, 2 singles. Still some snow in lots of spots, I won't miss it when its gone.. if it ever leaves.

I hunted Pride and 2Mules hunted his Walker female Kate. On the first drop they didn't hunt the piece we wanted and got DEEEEEEEEP on us. We drove around the road and the closest we could get to them was still right at 1/2 mile. They were treed on a decent sized Beech but I didn't see a hole or any eyes looking down at me.
As we walked back to the truck I talked 2Mules into turning loose once again against his better judgement.(so he thought) They struck almost as soon as I turned them loose and didn't go anywhere before they SLAMMED the tree. The best part was they were only 20 feet off the rd we were walking back to the truck. This was a den tree. So when we get back to the truck I figure I best not push the issue and ask about turing loose once again. Driving out Pride is barking in the box.(something he hardly ever does)

So I talked 2Mules into ONE MORE LAST DROP!!!!

This time they went about 300 yards before the struck a cold fed track. They worked it this way then that way and then back and forth a couple times before they finally settled down telling everyone they had him. Well I guess they did.... This was another den tree....

AWESOME WEATHER!

It had to of been 60 degrees here tonight. Just got done raining a little. I went out for a drop after class around 830.

Dog got over a mile deep and had a nice big coon above her. Too bad I walked to her when I could've drove right to the tree! haha. good exercise anyways!

dogs tracked one out into the beaver pond crossing on logs. Treed on an old dead hollow tree. on the way back I fell off the log and over my chaps. Still a crust of ice about 3 incehs below the surface of the water. My male fell through but luckily it was thin enough he broke his way to a log. Then, treed another den tree. Then a grinner (Tri-tronics got a workout on that one). The two dogs I was hunting tonight are still young and a little trashy once in awhile.

i went also..

But i had no luck...Took 2 of my 5 month old english pups but never struck a track .. But still had a nice time..

Glad to see everyone had good weather to get out and have some fun...

And Gold Dust showed me a grinner(TO BE HONEST) on the first tree and then he showed me a coon on each of the next two drops so we ended with plus points lol....that's the 5th grinner he has showed me in his 11 month old life so it ain't that bad I guess but I let him know I wasn't tickled about it!

Weve had nice weather. hunted the last three nights, saw 9 or 10 coon made a couple den trees, the last two nights we treed litters, 3 in each tree and i mean little suckers dont know how they survived the bad weather weve had. Gonna have to quit for a couple nights, the crusty snow and ice has the dogs pretty foot sore.
