We had a thread on unusual coon colors recently. I have never treed an albino but I have treed all black ones, yellow ones, and red ones.

Just once...

I treed one in southern Ohio about 4 years ago, initially I was sure it was a opossum but after a hit on the squaller and a little lead we started appologizing to the dogs. He was only about 8 or 9 pounds but was colored exactly like the one Hobo pictured.

Treed what we called a cinnamon colored coon a couple years ago. Had more of a reddish color than white. It was pretty neat to see in the tree but sucked that the gun was left in the truck...about a mile and a half away. Hunt the same area where we first struck it at and have not seen one like it since.

Axe

I sent you a couple pics email to show you a nice blond boar coon my son Kyle and I got a few years back. It weighed 21 pounds, had yellow eyes and reddish colored rings and mask. At first we couldn't see it in the tree, I squalled and saw eyes. We shot it out and when it hit the ground in a blur I said to Kyle, "darn, we shot somebody's yellow barn cat!" But on closer examination we saw we had a beautifull trophy. Now I'd like to get an Albino and a black coon(fisher coon) to tan and hang beside this one.
I have heard of others getting blond coon in our county! Saw one a local guy had mounted that was completely black, that was cool.
But the blond ones are the prettiest!

I did not want to shoot it....

but DOG simply would not believe that it was a coon.

Both of those dogs are completely broke from treeing coons now and have made pretty fair possum dogs.

white coon from southeast ohio

this coon was treed and got out alive back in the early 80's and was treed by walkers lol...it was a true albiono no rings or mask as hobo's coon has.the game warden said they were getting more common in this area at the time as a man in zanesville ohio that raised coon had his picture in the paper with one from one of his females and lee crock from caldwell had some of those blonde coon (he called them )like hobo's.dont know if they still raise them now or not.

picture also on my webpage.
