Fantastic Walker Days
I want to thank each and every person involved in Walker Days, including the officers and members of the TWB&FA. This was a fantastic group of people to work with, it was the smoothest and most hassel free event we have ever held. I especially want to thank all the members of the Limberlost Coon Hunters Club. Without a doubt this is the best bunch of workers this club has had in the 15 years I have been a member. Everybody pitched in and did whatever it took to make this the best event we have had to date. I also want to thank the 4-H Dog Club, they did a outstanding job for the amount of people in attendance, they handled everything like they were seasoned professionals. Their help gave the club members a chance to focus on making this the best event possible. Also, thanks to all the guides and satellite clubs without your help an event like this would not be possible. I would hate to tally up all the hours and time spent it took to make an event like this as smooth as it was. I don't want to mention individuals because there are too many people to name, so I just want to personally thank everyone involved.
Thanks again, Richard Emery
President Limberlost Coon Hunters Club
Thanks to the club there in Portland it was a very well ran event and a very enjoyable weekend. The walker association as always held a very succesful hunt. Both my casts went very good as well and ran smoother then most local hunts. Nice job to the limberlost chc and the twbfa.

I hope everyone had as good of time as I did, I never heard the first complaint.Even Mother Nature was good to us, except for just a few showers Saturday.
Richard..by far the best time I have ever had at a hunt. I enjoyed that better than Oaks. I personally believe that this was a once in a lifetime chance that I was lucky to attend. Great working with you, Matt and the Limberlost Coonhunters. You folks are first class all the way. All of yall's hard work showed itself. The TWB&FA was honored to hold Walker Days in Portland this year. God Bless each and one of you. It was nice of the Mayor to come out and hang around with the crowd. Mr. Wayne gave a speech that held my attention and hung on every word. He is right, we are all one big family. We have our differences at times just like familys do, but we work through them and keep our chins up. The people of Portland were extremely nice and hospitable. Beautiful fairgrounds and city with lots to do and to do nearby. The hunting was great with many non hunting judges to keep things on the up and up. 609 hunting dogs (with a few no shows) I believe 4 dogs were scratched for fighting and one formal complaint. I have seen more than that in a 50 dog hunt. The fellowship was just outstanding. When you get Mr. Monroe, Mr. Dohoney, Mr. Merchant, Mr. Clark, Mr. Sheffield, Mr. Giddons, Mr. Wick and the like all together in one spot, you are bound to learn alot about treeing walkers. The folders that were put together with all the old ads, which seemed to be the very first one on, blew me away. There were dozens of folders and some of the dogs I had always heard of, but finally got to see their picture in print. All the vendors were great and answered all questions about the new equipment out now. Stud barns were nice, food was great, people were great, Walkers Days was just unbelievable this year. It would not have been possible without each and every person who had a hand in the 50th Anniversary Walker Days. I was honored to be there.
At the 100th Anniversary in 2058 I hope they ask my 92 year old butt to stand up and take a bow

"Kim Jong-Un speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.” An actual sitting US President said that. Let that sink in.
Thanks to the Satellites, and all the NON-Hunting guides/Judges from the Limberlost club as well. We had too many guides, but that makes life much easier. What a great event, and the TWB&FA is the best association we have ever worked with!!!!! Congrats to all the winners.
GREAT JOB: RICH EMERY, FRED,GERALD, and TIM MANOR, CURTIS FRANKS, BECKI RIGBY, FRED LINGO, CHAD CLAYCOMB, JOE BRYAN, BARRY GUNTLE, and all the club members!!!!
Also thank you to these people who I worked with for Satellites;
Reagan Lanter (Milton)
Terry Tappy (Murray)
Norman Neer (New Knoxville)
Robert Welch (Greenville)

I drove up from South Carolina and had a great time. I didn't hunt, but tagged along with a cast each night. It was nice to meet some new folks and my trip was well worth it!

Mr. Walkup
Didn't I draw you and Dixie at the Zones in Portland last year. If so Dixie is a nice plott hound. If you get down this way, and you guy's don't mind a BOOTICK, maybe we can take a hunt.
