Boat or Boot ?
If u meant boot then the answer is no, unless it is dog fight or in one case with me it was my dog and friends dog grabbed a farmer friends sheep, then yes and I did. But I won't discipline another mans dog or have it done to mine. That is the individuals responsibility or mine for my dog. Everyone has their own way of correcting their dog.

I've done it to my buddy's dog. And I was thanked after I did it. And my buddy knows I'd expect him to do it to mine if they deserve it.
But to do it to a dog that I don't know or a person I don't know well. That wouldn't happen. I know a couple guys that hunt for the public. And they tell the guys dropping off the dog. This is the way I train for this that is the way I train for that. But they're honest with who they hunt the dog for. They also call the owner the next morning after a hunt and tell them how it went.
putting a boat to another mans dog is ok as long as im invited to ride on the boat too

I was out one night with a guy who was paid to train another mans dog. the underpass where we were had been washed out and left a big gully across the road. the dog was running and didn't realize there a gully. he fell in and landed on the metal culvert. the dog came out limping. the man immediately sent to dog to hunt but the dog wouldn't go. so the guy kicked the dog. that was the last time I ever had anything to do with that man. I walk past him and don't even acknowledge him. if I had been younger and foolish i'd had grabbed a heavy switch and wore it out on him. i'd be willing to bet that the owner of that dog didn't know his dog was being kicked after falling into a ditch.

Boots are a bad idea don't matter who it is!!! But I hunt with a fella and it's a common understanding that if either of us see the others actin a fool to grab a switch. That's just being a good friend imo.
lol was boots was getting ready to go fishing had both on my mind same time lol

Been there before
I've had hunting buddies that use boots one that actually caused the dog to die. Not a fan of kicking dogs, broke my foot on my walker cross house dog, because he would run and about knock you over. He had last laugh I kicked he ran into it and looked at me like what the heck. Couldn't walk on it for a week
and let me add yes I do have good hunting friends that i would let correct my dog only because we think a like.

If I walk in and 2 dogs are fighting and mines one of them boots go flying. If the other dogs owner has a problem with it well talk about it after the dogs are separated.
