The million $ question
We have a ntch bitch who is double coma bred with other older blood including kansas dancer and wagers stylish lipper. She can wind a coon drift a track or straighten out a cold feeder track and make em climb quick. We want to preserve what we have while making progress at the same time. So just as it has been asked many times before where should she go to be bred?
In no particular order,
Frankie
Cloud
Jiggs
Fred Bear
Bone
come go hunting and i will show you

I made a cross on Mafia and a female that goes back to Kansas Dancer and pups are 8 months old and doing awesome ! Mr. Kansas Dancer himself Greg Minkler owns and hunts more than one out of Mafia .
The main traits he is sending on to his pups is track driving ability , natural independence , and enough motor for 2 dogs - trree em' close or tree em' far they go where the coon are . These dogs are for coonhunters who don't mind a hard going dog especially in thinner coon areas - not for the guys who want a few hundred yards and return kind of dog . He is also putting the mouth and locate in nearly all pups . Tree coons during the week and win on the weekend ... during recutting situations like in other kc's defining what deep and alone means . There are several high up in the state standings in $kc right now . 2 of 5 of David Griners (Reezen) SS breeder of the year for 2014 were Maf pups (he crossed one of his females on Mafia). My own "Shack" just granded out at not 2 yrs old , was a pkc ch at 18 mo , won the OK state hunt at 19mo , is setting near the top of the MO state standings right now , he will be 2 later next month and you will be hard pressed to find a louder one out there . Maf was like that as a young one but at 8 still carries well and still winning way more than he loses when took to town , he is a Silver Ch - nearing Gold , a Russ Meyer invitational $$,$$$ winner , has qualified and will be hunted at Pkc nationals again this year and got second in the Pkc Mo hunt off for top 16 in 2014 , qualified to hunt again this spring (multiple top 16 qualifier) . Multiple UKC World top 100 .
His oldest litter is 6 , youngest less than a week , references from across the country from the older dog owners down to the young
pup owners . There are several litters on the way if anyone is ready for a change I will send you contact info .

I would look at her traits, make a list. Do your homework, see if you can determine where her traits came from sire or dam. I would then breed back to that line, with a proven reproducer. I would also make sure the stud not only has similar pedigree but is also similar in traits, but can also improve.
There are some nice studs out there right now,but what may suit one hunters need might not suit anothers.
Are there any breeders in your area that can mentor you as venture in to a new area of expertise? I'm sure they could help you with the many tough choices. God knows the last thing we need is more pups.

X2 for mafia I hunted with shack hes a COONDOG an LOUD LOUD LOUD an absolutely flew on his tracks one way track dog an had them coons when he treed ill be keeping mafia in mind when I own a female worth breeding
Sounds like she mite be a good one to insert a straw of Hog Creek Mike semen into.
Mike was off Stylish Coma and has produced 2 ukc world champions and a pkc world champion grandson with only aprox. 30 pups on the ground. Think about that for a minute.
Can we get the contact info for the owner of mike semen?
Thank you
