A Few Questions???

Does anyone know of a good vet that can artificially inseminate a dog and get pup's? Also does anyone know a round about price it would cost to get done? Also does anyone know if Bone Collector is collected and how much the semen is? I got a old NtCh. female with over $1600.00 won back that I used to own and I am set on breeding her to Bone Collector!!!!!! She turned 10 the 11th of this month and this is gonna be her last litter. I really want to get her bred. She reproduces nice pup's that tree coon. I used to own a daughter of her that won a truck ticket, has over $2800.00 won and is a NtCh in4 UKC hunts. Thanks for any information in advance

John, theres one here in Bridgeport. I bred my Faith female AI and used this vet. She had 9 pups. 90.00 for each progesterone test and 150$ to inject semen. Audubon Animal Clinic is the name. Ask for Regina tell her I told ya about her. I dont have theyre number right now but can get it tomorrow.

I'm sure there is probably someone in PA that can do the procedure, but here is another thing to think about.

If you count the cost of shipping the semen from where ever it is stored to your vet in PA, the cost adds up pretty quickly. Shipping frozen semen is VERY expensive. The dewart that is used to ship is large, heavy and contains a hazardous material....

If Dean Bitzel has Bone semen at his facility, you can drive to Wabash and back home to PA cheaper than you can ship the semen. Additionally most of the vets that I've seen want about 1000 to inseminate a female. Dean's charge is about 200, plus the progesterone test.

Just something to think about..... convenience in this instance is VERY expensive.

Oh yea !! Believe me I have my own Vacuum Shipper and I do loan it out .. But you can have a easy $250 round trip on my tank. Its Very Expansive unless you plan ahead and have the Semen stored close to your vet .
