Treeing cur ?

Just curious all you treeing cur guys what hound cross do you all like to use. I personally like either crossing over on a red bone or english dog but seems theres alot of guys using walkers.

I was under the impression that in order to be registered as treeing curs they had to be crossed on walker

Any treeing breed.

Never done that either genius but I'd a lot sooner do that than cross anything on a redbone. You might have a few 12# fyce at your place but aint none here

I guess they are countless possibilities I don't know about registries ..If I were going to try one it would be plott border collie cross...

I would use a walker or English. They tend to have more tree power than the other breeds of hounds. Natural stay put tree power is all that I want from the hound side.

English coonhound and Treeing Feist. The first cross was a 25lb. male Treeing Feist on a 55lb. English redtick female. Took a little work and a couple concrete blocks. The second cross was a 15lb. male Treeing Feist and a 60lb. English redtick female. Had to break out a roll of duct tape for that cross.

lol yep and if you didn't want that cross it would have just happened by accident all on their own lol .

but I have had good luck with mnt.cur on just about any good treeing hound , heck even my Catahoula x hound crosses do all right , not the best tree dogs , but give them hogs the devil .
